In case you haven't participated in the beta or looked up the new cool things in CS6; this is a major update geared towards motion and still workflows across all packages. Especially noticeable in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and the addition of Speedgrade.

I don't need to underline the advantages of being able to edit, post VFX, master audio, color grade, and finish at 4k all in one production package.

But hey, it's 2012. Jetpacks and flying cars and all that.

Looks like the Cloud won't be available until Friday. I'm going to hold off until then. $30/mo. for the master collection is a sweet deal.

CS6 (Creative Suite 6) has been released. Creative Cloud is targeted for release this week.

If you want to use the Creative Cloud option, you can still download the trial versions of the CS6 applications now and activate them with the Creative Cloud Membership subscription later.

You can order CS6 Production Premium here: http://adobe.ly/CCProd ... or try it free for 30 days: http://adobe.ly/In5IR5

what's new and changed in Premiere Pro CS6: http://adobe.ly/HDKYpx
what's new and changed in After Effects CS6: http://adobe.ly/HCGNMJ
what's new and changed in Audition CS6: http://adobe.ly/Hz45o8

New to CS and don't have a heavy use now, but seems like the upgrade cloud at $29/month would be a good way to try it out. Couple questions:

For adobe guy or anyone that knows: (edit: I was writing when todd posted)
Can I use Lightroom 3 to upgrade to creative cloud?
How about from Final cut?
Can I use on both laptop and tower with the single license?

And for redusers:

Is there any downside to the cloud version - I understand all the main apps run locally, cloud part is just for install, upgrades, and some storage and services.

Please, please, please, bring questions like this to the Creative Cloud forum. There's a link here:

The Adobe folks who help here on the RED User forum know the guts of the video applications, but pricing and upgrades are not our expertise.

I do happen to know that the single-user retail license is the same as before regarding the ability to have the aoftware isntalled on two computers. See section 2.5 of the EULA.

LOL... I haven't been able to sign into the Adobe LWS today. Keeps timing out. I guess everyone is making a mad dash to get CS6 and have it a bit overloaded.

I'm on set now and can't test everything just yet, but I will say Production Premium CS6 was about the easiest install of any of the previous versions.

Glad I downloaded last night just after getting notice from Adobe. Lovin' it! I hope Prelude eventually gets tweaked to work with R3D files. And looking forward to RedColor3 soon... And more........

Can someone on a Mac load up Premiere and tell me what is says when you do an About Premiere Pro (under the Premiere Pro menu). Does it say Version 6.0.0 (319 (MC: XXXXXX))

Thanks!

Upgrade done:) Thanks for the trial to get ready for the final one.
Wow thats a KNIFE!!!
Warp Stabilizer should work with all resolutions in Premiere like in After Effects!!
Waiting for GTX690 Cuda drivers to speed up processing up to warp speed:)

Some ordering options which a CS support person explained to me, which others might find useful:

If you click on download option, then ask for a backup ... it will delay your processing by 3 days - so if you want a backup is easier to just buy a physical version. Depending on how you do your clicks, the backup dvd option may or may not show - which effects if your are eligible for a backup dvd (extra 20$). So if you get the link from customer service for CS6 Master collection, that allows a later backup to be applied, that link will pop you out of your adobe login, so you have to re-enter your info.

It was slow for me but eventually got signed in and got the downloads going. It took about 10 minutes to click on all the links to start the downloads in the download manager. I'm getting about 1.5-2.5 MB/sec.
