How much does the arm weight? As well as the 35lb vest? Does the gimbal have a kip lever? Is it tool-less? It looks like it has an Allen key to tighten and loosen the gimbal hieight.

I am not sure about the arm weight, vest weight, and if the gimbal has a kip lever. I do know the arm will be tool-less. The arm you see in pictures is the per production model. The grey caps will be changed to be slightly smaller to better fit the chassis and tool-less to open to maintain and exchange spring packages.

I will find out the answers to the rest of you questions tomorrow.

I have some final answers for you below...

Functionality
  • The Arm will be tool-less after the small grey cap changes in this first batch.
  • The gimbal currently needs an allen key to tighten and loosen the height, BUT there are plans to make a kip handle available soon.
Weights
  • Arm = 9lbs
  • Vest = 9lbs
  • Sled (with out Battery Module) = 3.8lbs
  • Sled (with Battery Module) = 4.4lbs

Please note, the arm weight is NOT included in what is supported with the 28lbs or 35lbs springs. The springs weight is verified to include the weight of the camera, sled, and all mounted accessories to the camera and sled. (AKA as long as everything on your sled is under or at the verified spring weight, you will be fine)

Will the kip handle be sent with the Raptor in 8 weeks?
I am not sure on this. This is one of the details Daryl is working on along with a full list of other customizations and options. He will have this information very soon.

Daryl is going to be contacting everyone again tomorrow via email with more updates.

Deposit done! Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen... Can't wait to broaden my skill sets!

is the deposit 100% refundable if the order gets canceled for any reason?

Can we get a confirmation that the tool less gimbal is included in this offer?

the space left for placing a kipp lever there , looks to be very small, but a small cam lever made would work nicely there.
either that or a small type kipp lever more like the small Red levers would do the job.
I dont think AP will have a problem integrading this on the gimbal.
sometime re- balancing of the camera by adding gear on the top end, thats needed for the shot gets done on the fly so its agood feature.
regards

My understanding is no refund on deposit. You' d have to use it on AP products. No word yet on tool-less gimbal inclusion.

I can confirm here that the final version of the Raptor that will ship out will have a tool-less gimbal adjustment. The pictures show our pre-version where we had simplified it as it was only for testing.

About the refund question. We will handle it as following. The deposit can be 100% refunded if used on products on the Innocinema sales site (store credit). As a option we also offer to refund the deposit to your bank account or Credit Card. However we will in this case subtract all cost we had with the transaction (bank or credit card fees etc.).

We sent a email to everyone yesterday with all information for the payment of the deposit. Later today we will be sending out the options list. In this meaning a have a exciting announcement to make. We will be able to offer officially next to other monitor options also SmallHD monitors. We think they match design wise perfectly with the raptor.
