When I go to fight a battle that every one tells me I already lost...

It is when I persevere and fight the hardest to win!!

According to the last test results from my Blood work and Full Physical, which included Bone Structure and Density tests, in which has been confirmed that my body is reacting in such aggressive and unfriendly ways to the Cocktail of Immune-Supresive meds I have been taking for the past 8 years, that my Bones structure and density is decaying so fast that they never seen anything like it before, were together with irregular cardio activities, muscle spasms, rapid decaying of the visual cortex, (changed glasses two times last year) and a massive loss of red cells, and facing advanced Osteoporosis and Chronic Arthritis, which all together is crippling my entire body.

The hard part is actually dealing with the fact that you no longer have any defenses since the immune Suppressors kill every leaving Antibody in your immune sister making you extremely vulnerable to any and all diseases known and unknown to man, which has also kept me and push me away form the water I love so much.

Today the Doc's now predict that within the next few years I'll be on a wheel chair... And that I MUST prepare mentally to the challenges ahed, starting form letting go of any dreams I might still have that will require of my body what it can not longer support... Basically is like they are saying be prepared to roll over and just wait to die.

My answer...

We'll see about that!!

I am most certainly not going to do as told, I in fact never did, and the exact opposite will be true now, were I am pushing my self harder then ever, every day, taking long walks... Working out, and force myself to get out of bad even when my body says NO, and no matter the pain, move forward and try to rebuild my body, my figure, my face and my confidence with it, so that instead of looking at the mirror and filling I am inside someone else's body I'll one day get to see myself again.

Pain is now something I know is just there out let me know I am indeed still alive and I got so used to it, that I felt very weird when I was put under for some hard core and too painful of test to stay awake, it felt like I had no body and I was leaving this life and didn't wanted to, I am so used to the pain now that without it I do not fill I am okay.

I will not stop, not now not ever, I'll show them a new level of PERSEVERANCE not only to what one's body can be pushed to do, and what it can be made recover from, but what it means NEVER to let go of one's DREAMS... And always have something to look forward to in life.

I played by too many rules lately and I literally stopped having any social life all together... So now it is time for a new chapter ad say... F#@K SAFE!!

Will this be "A new chapter" or will indeed be the last chapter? NO matter... I fill as motivated as ever and and ready to leave that second chance to life that my sister give me by donating me one of her kidneys, so I'll make her proud!!

But just in case the Doc's are right, I am just the same now prioritizing what matters most, which is to bring to life a "LIFELONG" project, which many of you form the early days, know exactly what I am talking about, and if there should be only one I get to do, then this would be the one, as it matters most, always had, and since it is the very reason I embarked in all that I did in life, it only make sense I at list try my very best to get it done!!

Of course some inspiration and new found motivation also comes from "DRAGON M8" which is about to take me in to a new series of adventures to film some of the most stunning and amazing places in the world...

Oh, btw... F#@k you Doc's!!

Meet the "DUCATI DIAVEL CARBON" soon to take DRAGON M8 and I, in some adventurous and fun trips...;)

you are a strong man ketch, surely you'll fix everything, you have to struggle a bit;)

Se passerai a prendere aria buona in Svizzera , chiamami io ti aspetto senza problemi, abbraccio.

Doctors always err on the side of pessimism - often that delivery of bad news knocks all the spirit out of their patients leading to self fulfilling prophecies

There are plenty of stories where they are proved wrong. Go Ketch!!

Thanks Luigi!! I am indeed.

Vorrei passare senza dubio prima di partire per Los Angeles, magari filmiamo qualcosa insieme con le nostre DRAGON... ;)

You go Ketch! Be an inspiration.

Reminded me of this guy:

Thanks Eric!!

And yes, indeed they are, and hope to become one of those stories... ;)

Ketch, you continue to kick ass against all odds. Even if your legs DID stop working, you'd just end up with some badass titanium/carbon legs instead. Robo-Ketch.

Keep it up, man!

Forza Ketch!

Once broke my foot so bad skateboarding they said I'd never walk well again (or skate) after a year on crutches, but its possible to over come. I still skate today, forget the doctors Ketch keep on fighting!

Wow 8 years on Immune-Supresive meds sounds like a nightmare by itself. Did you get bone inplant (or how you say it in Enlish) and the drugs is for stopping the your body to "kicking out" the new bones?

Ha ha, thanks Brook!!

Unfortunately the Bones issue is only one of several, but even that is not just referring strait to the left leg only, but trickles down to all other bones, especially the hands and spinal cord... So I am afraid that Carbon Legs would only solve part of the issue, what I need here for my bones is a "WOLVERINE" series of liquid injections... ;)

But no matter what you can count on me not giving up, no matter what, I aware I'll do what I need to do even if I ended up on a wheel chair directing things form a straw in my mouth.

Forza Ketch!

Grazie fernando!!

Thanks Brian!!

Sorry to hear about your accident and glad you recovered alright!

Yeah, do not worry, I already told them a good amount of F#@k off... But they do kind of get to you just the same, and what gets me is that especially with some one like me, which I already went for the easy way out once (ok, make that twice) when I tried to take my own life, (NEVER AGAIN) they should be more careful with baring such bad news, and in their defense they said that they do not want to give false hopes, shit, this way they are giving no hope at all.

Any ways, I am a fighter, I was born with few round of umbilical cord round my neck that chocked me half way to death, yet after several minutes and few slaps in the rear, there I was alive and kicking...

You know what has changed since that day? NOTHING!! Still kicking... ;)

Actually the Immune-Suppressors are for the Anti-rejection of the Kidney I was transplanted in 04 by the grace of my loving angel sister, that sacrificed one of hers to save me.

The bones and the blood poisoning and loosing of the red cells are some of the side effects, and no matter how many mends you take to counter the effects, it is just a never ending loosing battle.

I did however heard of a specialist in the USA, that has had some success with Marrow Bone transplant, and cell transplant, so I'll have to dig in to that and see what is possible, of course this will mean putting my little sis in to more pain yet, as this type of surgeries are excruciating painful, as they need to go right thru the spinal, then there is also the Stem Cells thing, so we'll have to see.

You'll do it, Ketch ! Much Love.

Just keep loving life they way you have and fight on. Screw what the docs say. They are OFTEN wrong. Go your own way, man...

Good on you Ketch. There's no reason that wheelchair can't have two wheels and go very, very fast.

Those are deep and smart words, and I believe them to the core, and learned in my life that the harder you get hit, the fastest you must get back up.

Thanks Michael!!

Indeed I love life, despite what I did in a very weak and stupid moment in my life, I fight with my life for my life ever since... And the Love and passion I have for it and the drive to accomplish my dreams is what gives me ever lasting strength and positive energy.

Good on you Ketch. There's no reason that wheelchair can't have two wheels and go very, very fast.

Thanks Phil!!

Ha ha, and yeah, that is exactly what I told the docs, hey since you said I'll be on a wheelchair soon, might as well start getting used to rid on wheels... And the Ducati Diavel Carbon seems the perfect choice to start that route... ;)

While it's not my place to tell another how to live their life, I will say that were I given a prognosis such as the one you've just received, I would treat it as a warning and would put my plans on hold and throw myself into learning everything I could about how to fix myself.

There are powerful meds in the natural world that not only prevent illness, but can actually heal an ailing body.

Ketch, I spend more time on health-related websites than I do on Reduser... PM me a single-purpose email address and I will forward any info I think might apply to your situation.

Yes..some very good advice. Many doctors learned only what they learned in medical school 10-20-30 years ago and they
have not kept up with schooling and research in the latest advances and treatments. For many of them it is just a job 9-5 just like any other.

Before one had to research in medical libraries but with internet we can find the best and latest treatments and experiments online.
It is important to take active control and involvement in your condition and treatment and not simply rely and trust
whatever things the doctors tell you because they may not in fact know better than you after you have educated yourself on such matters.

I agree totally.

And another thing is that doctors have no training in what has become known as alternative medicine (actually homeopathic medicine was the original medicine so what doctors practice today is actually the alternative medicine.)

I'm not saying modern medicine is all bad (but read the warning labels on prescriptions.) I'm saying it is incomplete.

Take Ketch's dilemma... it sounds like an imbalance between osteoclasts and osteoblasts. If it were a simple case of bone loss it is possible eating prunes (dried plums if you prefer) two or three times daily might bring the activity of those two bone processors back into balance, as has been shown to be the case.

Obviously Ketch's body is going through something more radical than just an osteoblast and osteoclast activity imbalance. But had these doctors been schooled in ways other than patent medicine treatment, maybe they would have suggested the dried plum regimen earlier as an accompaniment to his other treatment. Maybe they would do so now if they had knowledge that this simple thing has been proven to be beneficial. Certainly couldn't hurt.

I'm not saying that they should adopt "Old Wives Tales" remedies as a treatment... at least not until it has been proved to be beneficial through scientific studies. I'm simply saying that theoretically, a doctor should treat a patient with the natural remedy... you know, the one without the side effects... instead of the one that is synthetic and much more expensive when they have a choice.

Of course that won't happen since, as you mentioned, doctoring and medicine is big business.

That means a doctor is not going to tell you to use cinnamon lavishly instead of taking Warfarin to keep your blood thin and coursing through your body.

There is no cinnamon lobby so that story isn't going to be told to patients.

I think it is safe to say that nobody cares as much about you as you do.

ADDITIONAL: To be fair, pharmaceuticals probably do act faster than a comparable neutraceutical, so they have their place.
