Always great to hear form you Peter, sounds like you are in GREAT company and I am not only talking about the TECH side of it... ;)

That visit to "The Amazing Spiderman" set was a nice one, and when I watched the film, I always got a giggle at the scene of the Explosion in the school... ;)

Hey Ketch life is really what you make it
Im 30 and had something happen similarly. Found out I had 3 months to live and needed to have surgery.
A heart operation two collapsed lungs and a pace maker later and im back on my feet.
Life is short, enjoy and love what you have and don't squander what you've been given. Tick tock.. smile and don't let the news get you down.

Thanks Barry!!

And truly sorry to hear what you have been thru!!

I truly hope that you are doing as good as you can as well and that you too keep as strong and positive as humanly possible.

And yes, I completely agree with you, and I also always say that life alway must go on, no matter what, and I never really complain about my situation much anymore, another then sharing few tights here amongst friends, for what I think sometimes is what us as Humans need most, a little Moral support...

Yet, I always will look positively at my conditions, and always will act accordingly, and never for a moment thing that I am the only one suffering in this world, as there is in fact always some one that has it much worst and in that respect I am thankful that I can still do what I do, no matter the difficulties I can still do it!!

That's the spirit Ketch... fight for your beautiful life. Glad to see that you didn't let all of that get you down.

Thanks Andrae!!

Absolutely NO ONE and NOTHING can keep me down.

I might fall as any one else can and will at some point in their lives for one reason or an other, some of us fall multiple times, but I will always get up stronger then when I first fall down... The harder I fall, the fastest I get back up... That is my nature... ;)

... got my broken back surgery when i was about 14. they "lost" me twice during the procedure. Living in pain since ever. Made me aware. And dream "different".

It may as well be, that from these experiences, fatal illness, comes the drive to contribute as much as possible ... I certainly do have a lot of empathy with the misfit known as "Ketch Rossi" ... ;-)

Mr. Rossi certainly has his share of suffering, dreams AND contribution ... let him breathe, let him live, let him shine.

I wish you the best, Ketch!

Thanks Detlev!!

I guess the saying "No Pain No gain" it sure has it's literal means to some of us.

Some Meds taste really nasty and I mean "NASTY" but then there are some remedies I am discovering thanks also to some great Fellow Reduser like Elsie, which have taken upon them to help me out in my researches in Natural Foods and Vitamins to Aid my body recover form all the damage done to it and continuing to be done to by the Immune Suppressors, and this Freshly Dried Plums are just delicious... :)

One of their most known for property? Aids in the reestablishing of Bones Density!!

Thanks Elsie and every one else here that has been emailing and PM'g me with their findings and resources in aid of my conditions!!

“Over my career, I have tested numerous fruits, including figs, dates, strawberries and raisins, and none of them come anywhere close to having the effect on bone density that dried plums, or prunes, have. All fruits and vegetables have a positive effect on nutrition, but in terms of bone health, this particular food is exceptional.
Dried plum(s) significantly increased bone mineral density of the ulna & spine in comparison with dried apples.
In comparison with corresponding baseline values, only dried plum(s) significantly decreased serum levels of bone turnover markers, including bone-specific alkaline phosphatase and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase-5b.
The findings of this present study confirm the ability of dried plums(s) in improving bone mineral density in postmenopausal women in part due to suppressing the rate of of bone turnover and bone resorption."

Ketch, thanks for the acknowledgement, but more importantly thanks for getting me pointed toward revisiting my own files of past research that I have read and saved. One in particular, Niacinamide Riboside, something I read about being a discovery in 2012 but at that time unavailable to the public in sufficient quantities to have a desired effect.

But thanks to your posting your situation I made the time to go through my old health saves folder and after doing a search, found the product is just now becoming available in the U.S.

The expectation that this little molecule mimics caloric restriction without having to adhere strictly to the regimen and sans an intensive excercise regime as well, means I can drastically reduce the number of days I fast and still get as good or even better results for good health.

Oddly, the product I found promotes its use for protecting the brain during sports participation. Their catch phrase is "If you wear a helmet, wear Nr." So Ketch, if you do take the motorcycle journey as you suggested... don't forget your Nr! '-)

OBTW, very envious of your close proximity to a freshly dried plum vendor... I get mine in a package, off the shelf at my local Wal-Mart.

Ha ha, glad I indirectly helped you while you in the process of were helping me... ;)

I did order the NR capsules and will take them and see what happens... Along with a series of other natural products and byproducts, to supplement what this dam Immune Suppressors are destroying, all apart the Immune System, as of course can't touch that or I'll reject the transplanted Kidney, but I am now to come in contact with professor in the USA which seems to have several Meds free transplanted patients...

And yes, when riding the new Ducati Diavel, in my backpack there will be the DRAGON M8, my Meds, and a NR supply to match, along a series of Vitamins, and excirsice there will be plenty, as I intend to push my body like I never did, not even when I was in my twenties...

I figure that since I got to get this bad following the Docs's every order, it is time to tell them all to F%#k off and do it my way!!

Responsibly of course, but not so much so to continue to have to give up on all pleasures of life in the process!!

And yeah, been in the Northern side of Italy has it's benefits, but I must admit that I am willing to let them go in exchange to truly have that last shot of following my Dreams once and for all!!

Ketch. - Have the doctors got you on a medication they give women for calcium depletion in their bones. With bones, there is a reduction and regrowth cycle which is supposed to be in balance. With osteoporosis, the balance has been upset and bone regrowth falls a little shorter each time. My understanding is, the medication promotes the regrowth. I understand it will not restore bone but slows down the deterioration. I'm sorry I do not know the name of this medication. Geriatric specialists might know more about it.

Thanks Robert!!

Actually I have been taking the very NASTY tasting Calcium in both tablets and powder forms, and after years of use, beside making trow up a lot, they are simply causing other side effects, as of course there is also such a thing as TOO MUCH calcium, so I got screwed that way too... :(

Additionally I truly simply just lost confidence in the Medical system all together here in Italy at list, so I look forward coming back to LA to get deeper in to this completely disregarding what I have been told opt do so far, and start fresh in the hope of better results.

At the end of the day, all that I ask is just to be able to go back to leave a normal life, were I wake up, not without pain, as that would be asking for a miracle, but to at list make the pain moderate, without the need to take so many drugs, and slow down drastically the current rate of depletion, and of course give back the energy levels I used to have so to allow me to enjoy my days, and why not, hopefully even fill so good about myself that I can go back to dream of been worthy enough to sustain a relationship again... And get myself a Girlfriend... ;)

Wow, Ketch--been away from the forum for such a long time but seeing this makes me grateful you were the first one I met in the community. What an inspiration you are, and so glad you are also integrating natural foods/nutrients despite most doctors assertion that those things don't help.

I wish you a full, miraculous recovery and if anyone can do it -- it's you. God bless and keep fighting, your hope and perseverance is contagious and helps others more than you realize.

Anthony

Thanks Anthony!!

Doctors, at list most of them can now truly go F#%k themselves as I have been finding out more and more how much wrong they were and how much more damage they did to me, yet I am thankful for that I am still alive...

Funny thing is that today I just got a note back from an other surgeon general that took a good look at what happened in the two major surgeries to remove both kidneys, and said that there is no doubt, that permanently chopping and removing two ribs out (one per side) was totally and completely WRONG!!

Then an other big wrong, coming form the dermatologist which absolutely forbidder me to get any Sun exposure, yet now I am finding out that one of the main causes of such inner distraction in my bone structure is do to a almost absolute luck of vitamine D, of which the direct sun exposure is one of the major producers of... Go figure.

I predict, less Doctors, more sun, more warm weather, more fresh air, more action, more exercise... And most important of all, lots of fun!!
