Hi,

UPDATED PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

TUSCAN Reduser SUPERMEET/CONFERENCE/

Reducation might be slated to come through Florence this year so I am reviving this idea of a Supermeet here in and around that time. We could broaden it out for a few days to include:

- There could be some great (short) demos planned with the EPIC including:

- Epic Dragon (real world testing)
- Music and composition for filmmaking
- EPIC technical overview (POLISH, ENGLISH and ITALIAN)
- BACK UP YOUR DATA (BEST PRACTICES)
- R3D POST PRODUCTION FOR FILM
- R3D POST PRODUCTION FOR WEB
- R3D POST PRODUCTION PATHS FOR BROADCAST

- There will be EPICs and RED's from vaious locations in Europe.
- Talks in multiple languages
- The location we are looking at is a Castle (still firming up these details) with easy access by car, train or we can arrange airport transportation.

- There will be a "filmmaking component" where a film will be created over the course of the conference to help illustrate how easy it it to shoot and post RED.

Still looking for input on what you would like the event to be and how to make the first one as good as it can be.

I hope you could do a presentation.

Thanks for the support.

I'd love to just work with people on this... :-)

Then we can all learn from eachother.

I could maybe run through some post stuff together with post and non-post DP's... ?

Corrado?

Ketch?

Brice?

we can get a good group together to do short presentations about different things...

Not going to be able to attend because of other engagements these days, but I'm totally supportive of things like this. One idea is to keep something in the event that is professionally relevant so people can write it off on their company ;-)

As much as RED must be proud of having made some amazing products and a huge 'dent' in the industry as a whole, I'm sure they're proud of the fact that their company has helped create friendships around the globe... I know I would be :-)

Currently, running around Italy, form bottom to top, location scouting for the Studios and a new Home for my self... ;)

Aside form this so busy working on various projects I don't know were to turn... ;)

But it now looks that I will be basing my self and our Studios in the heart of Tuscany, SIENA, so we'll be close, but busy just the same, so nothing any time soon... :(

Pecato.

We'll be right in your backyard.

Pecato in fatti.
Signore Rossi, I'm wondering when I'll meet you?
As for a constructive meeting.
Maybe we could try something more challenging than a conference, like making a short movie in 24 hours.
If everybody put it's own grain of salt in it, it could result in a very interresting piece.

Ognuno trova il tempo di mangiare insieme. :)

Hey everyone. Lasagnia dinner at Ketch Rossi Studios in SIENA. LOL :)

Ketch,

You call me when you need to reno, or for whatever else you need. I'll be there with a pair of work gloves to give you a hand.

You are so right. We won't be focusing on camera stuff as much as we will be talking about how digital acquisition is affecting the industry.

This is as much for accountants and insurance bonders, producers as it is about imaging. The whole landscape is changing fast and people in the back and front office of the film industry need an overview and understanding of how these tools affect production.

That is something we would want to be open to as much as lighting and F-Stops. Bringing together Redusers to help educate the industry as a way to help transition to digital aquisition. Of course folks will walk away with something they can write off.

Thanks for the reminder and if you are ever this way please be in touch. The community is growing. Fast.

And it's multiple languages.

Instructors in:

Polish
English
Italian
French
German
Noweigian
Japanese

Wanting to create an international atmosphere.

I am quite positive to the guerilla shoot and post thing when so many resources may be assembled...

I don't mean guerill as "amateurish".
More like
Having fun and learning by doing with great collegues from all over the place...

I think that is a great idea too Gunliek.

I think that would be a very cool experience.

David

Also i can be there too, make BTS shots and recommend one nice place south of Siena to stay...
