It's funny to see the same arguments and semi-scientific attempts to proof something popping up again and again since the beginning of Digital, then HD, then 4k and now 8k. It will never stop. People tend to be not objective here, lots of "investment protection" is going on, besides other things. The usual behavior when it comes to progress and technical evolution. All that arguing about resolution again, a lot of people need to take a chill pill and get glasses. There are a lot of people that can pick 8k but it guess less with age related decline in eye sight, so it is a completely valid choice.
And 2 hours later the same people who said 4k is too much are trying to tell me how beautiful that screen on their new phone is: FullHD or even more on 5-6".
I know i can see a difference between 2k and 4k - and the performance of my eyes is a joke compared to an average human.
I can't wait to see a 8k projection or ~100" 8k-tv with some Weapon-8k-footage!!!
