This just made my brain obsolete.

Best sum up!

[Roberto Lequeux]

Yea, I missed it... crazy... 24fps at 28K sounds like something that could kill you... but all I want is my humble 2/3" with stock lens... possibly S35 Scarlet though MUAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

[Denis Bosnjakovic]

I need a job after hearing this announcement...

[Kholi Hicks]

LOL! Don't be. They won't be around for a while...

And yet, I'm already pissed because someone else is planning on getting the FF35 Sensor Scarlet. =T I dunno who that someone is, but, I'm really jealous.

But here's a RELEVANT question: How soon until we get pricing on the much-needed accessories? Audio port, etc etc.

I think this is enough to keep the hype machine rolling right into Nikon's Announcement. And, honestly, I guess I really can't see Nikon being able to top it no matter what they come out with.

Did I mention that I'm jealous of FF35 Model owners?

[Steven-Marc C.]

Will it be possible to upgrade the sensor in Epic from S35 to FF35?

[oliviertwist]

Well then, i guess that about sums it all the F... up for a long while.....

[Shawn Booth]

Congrats -

(is there anything you guys can't do?)

Thank you.

Again.

[Gunleik Groven]

So, the dynamic range implies higher bit-depth, right?

[Shawn Nelson]

I wonder if you can swap from PL to Nikon to Canon 'in field' or if requires a nice clean bench, etc

[Justin O'Neill]

I am speechless. After all the wild speculation over the past few weeks I didn't think Jim would be able to floor me with this announcement. But I went through the floor. Just speechless.

Everything is upgradeable. So, when the FF35 Sensor is made available then you'll be able to upgrade to that.

Are you planning to upgrade? I'm jealous of you Steven Marc. =T

[Jonathon Laing]

Can the most pimped out Mac Pros even handle this kind of resolution for fucks sake. Apple better get there arse into gear.

YES... abso F'KIN lutely...

What's insane is that I'll be able to upgrade my Scarlet to a full frame 6K 30fps capable beast... granted, no slomo, though I will get my 22fps and 26fps... also a little slo action at 30fps... still... if I need so me slow motion I can RENT an Epic with THE SAME SENSOR for a day or two!!!! :gun:

[Will Wernick]

With all of these crazy announcements, I keep thinking Jim will post something new still... lol

[Blake Gentry]

Jarred: good luck dude, I don't know how the servers are gonna be able to handle the all-day onslaught that's coming in a few hours...

[Buck Forester]

I'm pretty sure the fat lady has sung.

[Denis Bosnjakovic]

So wait a sec....

Would the image sensor for the 9k and 28k Epic have more dynamic range than 35mm or 70mm film? I would think so because it's bigger..no?

[david farland]

Jim,
Is there more detail/explanations to come?

Before we ask a million questions!
D

[NateWeaver]

Jim, team:

If you pull this off, you will have a huge market. I sincerely hope you do.

Godspeed...

[Anthony Vu]

28k? that's it? really guys?
