Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)
Not sure if this is the correct forum. I'm waiting to get in my S-W package. Should be in fairly high demand where I am. I was wondering what you people who rent out your equipment generally require? Proof of insurance? Collateral? Contracts? I just wouldn't want to be left hanging with a bill...
Trying to figure out a reasonable rate for myself as an owner/operator. My rates will have to increase, just wanting to get a baseline. Mind throwing out some ballpark figures you all charge for a half-day/full-day rate for yourself + camera - and your location?
I purchased 2 120gb mini-mags with the expectation that I'll be shooting and dumping about every 30 - 40 minutes on commercial/feature shoots. For weddings I'll probably just stick with ProRes 2k for the sake of saving card space (not to mention almost no brides care about getting a 5k wedding...

Pros cons of Renting vs Owning a set of Cine lenses. I own all Canon-L and Sigma Art lenses, but am considering jumping into some Cinema glass like the cp2 or CN-E's. Is it worth it? Does it up your value, or should I stick with what I have and go the rental route?
Looked into purchasing a few Canon CN-E's for a discounted price. They're brand new, but international versions (outside the US). Anything I should be wary of with that?
As a first time RED buyer, is it worth purchasing an extended RED Armor warranty for the S-W? I guess another question, is it even available for the Scarlet Weapon?

Not sure if this has been asked, but didn't want to scrub through 100+ pages. When recording RAW and Pro-Res simultaneously, are both files stamped with the same file names? Just trying to avoid having to go though and rename all the clips manually to create those proxy files.
