  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How many nits is the 4.7" touch screen? Is it bright enough to see outdoors without a hood? Wondering if I should go the route of getting a smallhd?
 
Is a good question and I don't know the nits number but I would think no, it's not as bright as s smallhd or the new shogun. Of course there is sun hoods option but I think a 501 or particularly the 702 bright in the kit is essential if outdoors is the majority of the work you do. But I see people using red monitors outside without hoods all the time. Personally I like something super bright or evf for outdoors but that's just me.
