  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

Clay, I don't think so. I've been told there are further delays.
 
So we're still on hold? I'm #791 and haven't heard anything, but sure wish I would!

I'm #441 and my camera has been at RED for 3 weeks now and still no sign of any progress. The latest I heard basically said they have no idea about when it will be ready :(

edit: just to clarify, the last thing I heard was that my camera was 'at least a week, if not two' away from the queue.
 
same thing i was told, sanders. Red #352 has been at Red for at least a couple of weeks. last word from Brian was "1 or 2 weeks" until it was ready.

it would be nice, imho, if this issue was addressed publicly, and was updated often, so we don't have to bug these guys with emails and calls. maybe i missed it if this has been done via email or on a thread here or something?
 
Hey Guys... some good news to share.

As of 15 minutes ago another batch of components we have been waiting on have come available and the machines are rolling again. We should be able to ship a handful of cameras out by the end of the day today, and will be working over the weekend to get you customers that have already shipped your cameras to us upgraded and buttoned up.

This is simply a supply vs demand issue.. and over the next few weeks I am sure we still will have a few more ups and some downs, we still are fine tuning the process.

All of you that have had cameras in the shop waiting... your cameras are (obviously) priority.

#363 was picked up yesterday. It took a total of 31 days. It was painful but the wait was worth it. Red MX is the real deal -

#476 has spent 29 days in California, more than I ever spent at once, and I even got married there...(San Francisco - to my lovely wife) but they are telling me it´s coming home soon, so I just keep a happy smile on my face waiting for my MX camera and Rocket card... (It can´t happen soon enough, cause I am getting tired of renting REds, and I have jobs in the pipeline...)

To those who wait, they are currently serving RED ONES shipped before or on february 8th (no cameras above #600 in this batch), and they are serving them in order of original shipment/payment afaik.

And from my experience, it will ramp up quickly
 
I dont know why numbers much higher than mine are already back.

Email blasts saying you are eligible are by original camera delivery date - not serial number. Once you contact RED after being notified of eligibility, pay for upgrade, get RMA number, and get the camera to RED, it goes into queue for upgrade - first come, first serve - when it is checked into RED. So, if a later serial number gets here first, it is in queue before an earlier one.

Argh!! Ours arrived February 14th (our Valentine's Day present!).
