  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Birger Lens Mount Reservations

Erik, thanks for the advice. I will e-mail you pics of the mount and collimation ring, in the next day or so. Today I just want to shoot something :)
 
Any more shipping notices hitting anyone's inbox?
 
i got one ... i requested they ship after Oct 3rd ...
i'm not planning to install the mount until after Red 103 has had the audio update ...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Now, with the unexpected early delivery of about 900 cameras next month, how does it look like in the shipping dpt'mt? Any hope that a mount ordered today arrives in mid October?

Hey Erik, is the protocol for your mount open? I think I've read it in this thread but to be honest, I'm too lazy to go back and find this post... :gun:

Would it be possible to make custom, inhouse, software to control the mount for, say, timelapses with change of aperture and focus during the shot?

If you ordered a mount you ought to know what day you ordered it on.

Revised number sequence based on Harmonica letting me know what Eric told him his number was.

If someone else wants to make a list by all means feel free. I just got tired of reading this thread and still having no idea of when my mount would arrive. If I had a dumb mount for Canon I would be shooting with FD lenses right now. If my camera was off warranty you know what mount I would have on there right now.

Just wanted to say that I've been shooting with the new mount at every available moment since I was able to find time to install it on Sunday evening.

I'm very much looking forward to what's to follow but... as it stands now, it's working beautifully. I just love it.

Now if we can just get someone to post some material...
 
At last (!) my mount has left customs and all being well tomorrow or Friday it should arrive ... phiew ... what a marathon can somethings become.

Anyway, can those of you who have put on their mounts and are using it put together a brief FAQ / use ? (ignore this request if the mount comes with a manual).

I promise I will post some pics ;-) fingers crossed ...

PS : good to see the OS X app is nearing release ...
