  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I got an email from Birger (26th and 27th - Shipping Status from Birger Engineering), full payment has been taken BUT no news of a tracking number ?

Is my number THAT far behind ??? 107.240814 ... ???

Hell, the ordering of this mount has been (is) worse than having your teeth pulled ... ;-(

no i didnt recieve an e-mail from fedEx with shipping notification. maybe no-one did.
 
I'm crossing my fingers for Erik being so busy shipping mounts that he didn't have time to do tracking numbers and that there will be a package on my door tomorrow, since I told the rental house they could have their long overdue lenses back this week.
 
Twenty-seven more packages are ready to go, and will be going out on Tuesday. We have to do the paperwork for fedex in the morning. I took a quick look, and I think this gets us through 107.260200.

I sympathize with the frustrated... Three of us spent much of the holiday weekend building and testing. Full update on tuesday. All that have received a shipping notice, will receive an email containing either a tracking number for a package departing on tuesday, or notice of an expected ship date of wednesday.

First batch is almost done. Any that don't ship tuesday are only waiting for a Bluetooth/RED adapter board. We have 64 unassembled boards, that would have been built this weekend, but we were short some of the parts. These parts will arrive wednesday morning.

I am pleased with what we accomplished in the last couple of days. I am disappointed that our count on some of the parts was off, and $100 worth of parts is what is standing in the way of finishing this batch. I am overtired.
 
my order number starts 107.240.... so I should be in this 26 mount shipment.

I think I may have a heart attack if I do get a fedex e-mail tomorrow. I've had the camera since Feb and refreshed this thread every day since, while my camera has sat on the shelf.

I hope this is really it.... thanks for the update Erik.
 
Erik, Thanks for updating. Can I presume that 0200 is the serial number ie 200 had been shipped. Are any of these shipped with the BT? No hurry, please take a well deserved break - Lim

No, the serial number is just a kind of timestamp of when the order was received. There's no way to tell what number mount they've shipped (I'd guess still under 50). The mounts all have Bluetooth antennae, but I wouldn't expect the corresponding Bluetooth remotes for a good while longer.

Erik, when you do the update tomorrow, could you give us a time estimate on the next couple of batches? If it's going to be more than a week for mine (109.series), I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a Nikon mount. :waaa: I just can't let this next job slip by. Counting on ya, man....

Thanks for keeping us posted. Have the e-mails gone out yet? My mail server is down.

The emails will go out over the course of the day. We also built, packed and shipped about 25 lens mounts for non-red cameras... there is still a lot of paperwork to do. Unfortunately, a lot of todays shipments are overseas and many excede the threshold to go without full export paperwork. :angry03:

I'll post when all of the packages and emails have gone out. Fedex cutoff is 9pm, four blocks away. Hopefully this will be done sooner than that. Emails are a lower priority than getting these packages out.
 
If it frees up your time, why not just skip the e-mails and just post here when you finish? I'm sure everyone would be willing to forego their e-mail if it means more shipments...
 
If you did not receive a tracking number today, and have already received a shipping email, you will receive an email tomorrow. I just do not have the humor left in me to get an email out to people tonight. Not many shipping emails went out today, many more will be out wednesday. I would not be surprised if we finish out the first batch on wednesday.

Thursday we will decide how big the next batch will be, and email those people. That batch will be scheduled for friday through monday, and will probably be 40 to 50 more mounts.

can you give an indication of what number you have shipped UP TO : 107.xxxxxx ? (you last mentioned 107.260200)

Hi Erik. I understand you still have a lot to take care of with the Canon mounts and all, but can you give us Nikon mount res holders a little glimpse of what the future holds, of where we're standing. Thank you.

So... if we haven't gotten a shipping email in the last couple of days then our mount hasn't left the factory yet? I'm number 107.241819 and haven't seen hide nor hair of a shipping email. Except for the email from a while back that said my mount would ship on August 26th/27th. Is that the shipping email you're talking about?
 
i'm 107.250337, am i supposed to get a fedex shipment no. anytime soon?

I am currently in L.A. btw.
