  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

We have to test multicam on the upcoming Premiere update. "



Just one Xeon? or two?
 
For those of you having this issue, more details would help allot -- we're having a hard time replicating.

Are all the clips actually being enqueued for transcode, and not just not showing up in the output folder?

Or is it that some clips aren't even being enqueued for transcode despite "Bin All Clips" being selected?

If you run the same 100 clip export, is it the same 13 clips that are missing?

It may be helpful for you to post a list of verified and replicated bugs, so we know what areas you may need help with.
Some people may assume you know of a problem, but in fact it's a new problem.

The ones I mentioned:
a> The patterned debayer issue seen on contrasty edges.
b> Exporting over 400 clips from bin to dpx results in crash after 15 seconds of 'loading clips'.

I am trying to transcode the bins again with same export preset (although in a new project, and destination folder).

originally i had imported 2 folders - A01 + A02 under project.
selected A01
highlighted my preset. 5k HD to 720p w burn in - proresLT
pressed export "all clips in Bin".
then I selected A02
pressed export "all clips in bin".

--- EDIT - I have transcoded most of A01 again - all clips are in the export window and says 100% finished.
- transcoded clips are still missing in the destination folder

---- EDIT EDIT - it is not the same clips missing. or the same number.

-- EDIT EDIt EDIT - for the first reel A01 first time was 8 clips missing - second time 7 clips.
 
Thanks Sidney thats useful information. Can you do a "Save Report" from the help menu and email that to redcinex at red?

Have anyone tried transcoding to Avid MXF for editorial and then later reconnect to original media? I need to know if this Beta handles metadata and timecode correctly.
 
I'll report it here as it relates to a beta build.

When shooting with the Motion Mount sometimes the clip loads with a tinted color, likely not taking into account the color settings from the Motion Mount itself. Literally changing any setting makes it go away.
 
Hello,

I have the following problems :

- Exporting with Watermarks crashes Redcine-X 21 & 20.
- Exporting with sound corrups the QT file and makes it unreadable.

Is this related to the OS being 10.8.4 on a Hackintosh?

Problem with v20. I'm unable to select 2nd monitor output in the preferences. Nothing happens when I click on the drop-down. No menu, nothing listed. I have a Blackmagic Design Decklink HD Extreme 3D+ with latest drivers and it works with everything else. In Mavericks it worked with v21, but not in OS X 10.8.5 with v20.

SDI for Blackmagic and AJA output is a feature new in build 21, and is not available in build 20.
 
Yeah, I just remembered that. Thanks. I installed build 21 and edited the preferences.ini file in the Library to change the OpenCL enabled setting to false. Without editing it RCXP just crashes at startup, so it made 21 actually run with my Titan installed in OS X 10.8.5 and now it's working.

Should HDMI out work with Decklink cards? I'm unable to test SDI out, but I'm getting no picture through HDMI with Beta 21 and a Decklink HD Extreme 3D+ in OSX 10.7.4.

Not sure if its related but we installed Build 20 as well as the firmware upgrades for all ROCKET and BOB unit.

Currently the ROCKET runs great but with the BOB into a AJA 3G HD to Flanders the playback is horrid.

Same issue?

Update: I dont know what happened, maybe it was re-installing the BOB firmware 3 times but now were playing smoothly with the above setup.

having constant complete system freeze on my retina (2.7ghz, 16gb ram, 750SSD)....no problems at all on my iMac....but on the mbp, i can't do anything...strange...will look into it a little...
