Just want to know peoples thoughts on this.
With the announcement of the new Mac Pro and its claims of being a 4K monster will the Red Rocket cards become redundant? Don't get me wrong the Rocket is an awesome product and Red needed to create it as they were so far ahead of the curve. It seems now though, the new breed of machines will be better equipped to deal with R3D's and perhaps the need for a super expensive Rocket card may no longer exist.
I for one would love to put one in my existing Mac Pro and breathe a bit of life back into it, I just can't really justify the cost. Will we see a huge price drop in the new future, in both new and used prices as technology inevitably moves forward?
