  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What EVF res. numbers are shipping now?

I got a FedEx tracking number for what should be my EVF (got heads-up email before that). Should come tomorrow - crossing my fingers . . . . .

Finally I can put my ET EVF mount to use!

How long did it take between the "get ready" and the tracking number emails?

Ken, less than a week. Only one week from the e-mail (05-30-2008) to actual delivery tomorrow.( I live in the states, good point Olav on delivery time on international deliveries)

Hope that helps.

I received my EVF almost three days ago (in Norway) and had it in production every day since. It took about two weeks from the email from RED until I had it. I love this product and its amazing quality at a very low price.

Oi, that's not fair!

Still waiting and I'm ahead of you in the queue!

Stephen, it's just an email.

BTW, Yahoo mailer is the fastest on the Internet.

Hope you've already got it.

I got my tracking number today. The EVF should be here on Monday. My Cooke 20-100 zoom arrives tomorrow and I got a Hanns-G 17" LCD monitor yesterday. Somebody stop me!

Well the EVF for #557 is here... or I should say it is at my shipping address. I will go in and pick it up in the morning. Surely waiting one more night won't hurt, right?

I was wrong... it stings a little. :-)
But it feels good to almost be out of Gear Purgatory.

Cheers Guys and Gals,

Andrew

Anyone care to post the latest shipping EVF?

#650 arrived on Monday 6/9/08 as expected. I don't know how I lived without it. It's very, very nice!

Brent,

I wonder if Red could look at making a rubber eyecup option similar to the one used on the Genesis? The Genesis eyecup has a rubber iris that opens when pressure is applied and closes when your eye is removed, to protect the EVF LCD from sun-burn. I expect this is a risk with the Red EVF if it is left tilted up.

I will pass it along...
