  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Weapon 8k Queue

1. Michael Maes – Upgrade Epic-X to Woven 8K NAB – 04/14/15 – 06:03 AM PST

3. Michael Maes – New Forged Package – 09/29/15 (paid in full)

Edit 2 : If there is no 'Forged Weapon' priority over 'Woven Weapon' in the 8k Pre-order Upgrade - then my suggestion of 'Forged First' was incorrect - sorry Stacey!

As I understand it Forged and Woven run parrallel so, in a way, Forged has no total priority (but will when it's VV8K upgrade time).
With non-Forged they will first run the entire Woven qeueu, then they will serve the Mg qeueu.
Within the Woven upgrade qeueu, CF comes first, then Epic-M, then Epic-X, then Scarlet.
Within each "edition", the timestamp determines the order.
That's about the closest recap I can come up with, if I understood it correctly :-)

Now what the influence on the entire chain is when someone gets an upgrade allocation but cannot yet send in the camera (which seams to happen frequently), remains a mystery to me. It looks like RED just waits until they get that camera instead of starting with the next in line. I admit: tough case, where do you draw a line?
 
Forged will take priority after the NAB orders, per Jarred.

Timeline as best I can guess based on what we know:

December 2015 - 1st Batch: Goes to a big Hollywood production or productions.

February- March 2016 - 2nd Batch: When this list will start to take effect.

How many NAB orders go out in the second batch is anyone's guess, there is no way to know how big a batch is. I do suspect like RED always does, it gets better at the process over time. I think we can almost say for certain, the second batch will be bigger then the first and so on.

That's also my understanding from a post Brent made.

Something to the effect of the line continues but when the bypassed cameras come in (sometimes in a cluster) they are inserted into the line at that point and cause a halt or slow-down for the cameras that had been contacted as next up for upgrade.

This means Brad Grimm is close to get a new camera very soon, and so am I, can not wait.

My Forged is "en route" , YAY!
Only UPS is messing-up the shipment right now, so a few extra days I guess.

RED shipping has often been measured in Dog Months, so yours is pretty quick. '-)

something just came to my mind, this might give a bit a better reference: The Sales Order Numbers are numbered Sequentially ( at least in each Region ( US / EUROPE etc )


so we could add that Order Number in each Row. One thing to remember is that the actual 8k Sensor gets another Order Nr than your camera, even if order at the same time. so each 8k + Camera order is 2 SO numbers. it does not account for how many cams + Sensors are there in quantity in that order though i think.
