Everytime i read this thread, i just shake my head. I have nothing more to say.

hey were almost up to 2000 replies......awesome

Not sure that is a good thing considering...... Apparently Curt's sense of time ("need another day before an update" 5/29) is more akin to Salvador Dali's than it is to the East Coast ideal.

Next filming is in 10 days. Looks like another rental.

Got to pick up my Inclino and Impero from my sister house.
I was really surprised to find out that some parts are made of plastic!!!!
Has anyone tried all this in the real work world because I still haven't.
Just wander how this plastic will hold during time!

Battery flat..I have decide to stop my journey with View Factor. Will send official email to Curt soon. I'm out of here. I dont need to take this any longer.

Plastic on the Inclino Motors or on the Impero?

Impero has always looked like a plastic object in all images! so why are you so surprised?

There's plenty of plastic in everyday pro use. It seems irrational to rag on plastic as necessarily being less tough than metal. In some ways because of it's flex and light weight it's preferable when being dropped! And light weight is good for handheld/Steadicam use.

I remember metal car bumpers...

There is no issue with the Impero being plastic. . . and it is not as if Curt didn't openly talk about this several times in this thread alone.

My only complaint on the Impero is its size. I've got small hands and it is definitely a handful.

What's more. . . I'll bet that Curt will even sell people new plastic shells once their originals become a bit on the "soiled" side, shall we say.

It's a great little machine. I just wish I could get it to control the iris on my Birger. It did, then it didn't, then it did, now it doesn't. Fortunately, iris control on the Birger itself is very easy to do.

No, guys, Curt did a great job with the Impero. Are you happy with your Origo? Same build quality.

Stephen

I am not opposed to plastic as long as its GOOD quality plastic!

Those who have theirs how dose it last and perform?

The Impero and the receiver are plastic. What worries me the most is that the focus gears of the Inclino are also plastic. On the other hand the Inclino it self looks quite big and feel heavy. I am away from my camera now, so I didn;t have chance to try it. Once I am back I will try it with my lenses (Cooke S4, Leica Van Diemen and some other go stuff we have)
