VFS Inclino, Imperio, Origo News ??

Rather sad..that a thread about Inclino/Impero seems to end with a discussion about another (Bartech) system.

Is this how an exciting and promising new product will end???
Leaving hundreds of frustrated - already paid for a product - customers behind???
Or...did I miss something??

Here's how I look at it... I want this product. I think it will be a great option once it finally arrives.

The BarTech is a good system. I've rented a two-motor BarTech setup on a few occasions now. If I take what I have already paid VF and what I have spent on BarTech rentals, I would be money-ahead at this point to have just purchased the BarTech. So am I an idiot to just keep waiting and occasionally renting the BarTech? Hmmm... Perhaps. Then again, while I do feel the BarTech is a good system, I don't feel that it is "the one" for me to own.

Anyway, I'm still hanging in there. I have faith that Curt will deliver. I'm just not going to hold my breath and stress over the details of when.

Hey Jeff, let me know when the cost of your rentals and VF deposit surpass the cost of the new ARRI wireless lens control. I'll talk you down off the ledge.

If I could justify the Arri purchase, I would do it in a heartbeat... Just not in the budget at the moment. :(

ok here is my opinion judging from my experience with the vf.
1- the vf is very very accurate .
2-it takes 15 sec to calibrate
3-the range with the antenas took me 20meters throu walls so its fine.
4-its an upgradable unit.
5-its well build with good quality.
6-its modular and the motor can be positioned in varius angles, and it also works and is very solid at any angle.
7- in my experience the unit isnt very noisy, in fact no soud man complained so far.
8-its half the price of the next cheapest motor ff combination.

I think it would be better for you guys to call directly to Curt or John and find out whats up, dont wait and wait for reduser announsments, I believe he is trying to make the unit even better than before and sometmes isnt so easy to get good timing to work everything. I know a lot of companies that had delivered semi finished products or even products with no support at all and misteriusly dissapiered , surly Viewfactor isnt like this.
Made mistakes its trooth, try tomake up the best way he can, not always as easy.
But call the guy, he is very helpfull and you ll get quickly whats up with out assuming things .Whats done is done I understand the furstration but the guy tryes his best to improove what ever we have pointed to him.He could just say well for 2500 usd you get a short range, you get motors running ruff and noisy and thats that but he doesnt he tryes to make up of all the defects and deliver a high end product.
I have to go back to my project HR-1 that keeps me away from the sunny beach and the sun that burns my hairless head with 37 celcius:cool::cool::head_explode:but hopefully Iam not far.
Dont get dissapointed you will get something very good at the end.
Best regards to all.

Update time !

Update time !

Guys... need another day before an update... I'll make sure I get you guys up to speed this weekend.

Hi Curt,

Please give us an update. We all know a few units are out there and because we are not hearing bad stuff here they must be doing really well in use.

So please give us an update on why there is a delivery hold up now.

I am order #7 and am pissed off that people with order numbers after mine have an impero unit, the least you can do is let us know whats going on now.

I am happy to wait if there is a reason, but not knowing anything is the worst situation to be in.

Keep us all happy... Talk to us !

Cheers, Tim.

Well I'm not so sure about that - Tony Lorentzen and Emanuel Cambier had to return theirs the very first day. (Because the motors died).

By the way Tony and Emmanuel did you already receive replacements?

Ed, don't know about Tony or Emmanuel, I have received the replacement. Hope this one works better. Lim

Does anyone know how many Imperos and inclinos are out there?

Also how are they working or have they been recalled and promised working replacements?

Cheers, Tim.

RE Imperos Birger

RE Imperos Birger

Those of us waiting for imperos for control of the birger EOS Canon lens mount, have some good news EricB has taken over the software finish and mount into the imperos for The Birger mt. and intends to start shipping by the end of this week. If all goes well we may be focusing our EOS lenses next week!!!!

Curt and John,

Please show some respect for the folks who paid in full for their toys over a year ago and keep us in the loop!

I had the pleasure of stopping by Viewfactor tonight to swap out lemo cables. Had a long chat with Curt about the progress of the Inclino/Impero setup. Everything is looking kosher. It's only a matter of time before we all have units in our grubby little hands. These things are seriously going to rock. Make NO doubt about that. Curt is one of the most honest, transparent people on this forum. He's a modest genius when it comes to this stuff. I know people are frustrated but on the other hand, one needs to put things in perspective. He's making this product from the ground up. From the coding to the engineering to the physical design. Hell, one of his employees was asleep on a cot underneath the main work bench where this photo was taken. Like the guy on the couch in Half Baked. That's dedication for you... I knew it all along, but got to see it firsthand tonight, that all of these delays are for one very specific reason... to make this the best possible product at a breakthrough price. Sometimes control is out of your hands and when you're dealing with overseas manufacturers to keep costs down, there are some factors you just can't control. Anyway, I know people are flipping out waiting & I'm rambling, just wanted to let all you stressed out cats know that this thing is VERY real and VERY close to being finished. We need to support this company because they have nothing but awesome plans for the future. Plans that will benefit us all in the long run.

Is there any manual available yet?
My auto function fine with wired setup, but isn't working on wireless mode.
Any clue?

Kwan, if you go to the ViewFactor website, he has a link for the manual and also a video to show how the wireless are linked. Lim
