Wasn't there an option to have custom logo or name written on the APU plate (right there on the viewfactor's order page)? Or was I dreaming?

I'll have an update on our forum on Monday (12/12). Things are looking good, working on completing the controller.

I will keep checking the forum for the update. Just had one of my regular clients ask if my wireless FF is still going to be available before the end of the year.

I remember when Brook dreamed up a wireless follow focus on DVX user three years ago and Curt said he had an idea for one.... :)

Any idea on how to mount the AB plate to the back of a shoulder mount, using the battery as counterweight?

I think we're waiting on some accessories from Curt (and longer cable lengths) for that...

Longer cables will be available starting next week. I think we are going to offer 12", 24" and 36" to start. Pricing will be less than $100 (blame Lemo, not me).
As for custom logos on the battery plates.... we opted to skip that one due to the demand and desire to ship on time. BTW... we should have most everyone caught up to within our published lead time tomorrow.

As for motor/controller updates.... I'll get that up on the site asap. Not to spill too much but we are hiring a couple engineers and getting more machines to speed up the process.

Brook and Curt,

Just received my APU-AB. What a beautiful piece of workmanship. Delivered as promised.... now just gotta wait for my dang Scarlet!

I feel like there was never an officially official answer about the RED top handle... so here's the officially official answer!

RED Bricks just fit with some contact when using the top handle.

If you unscrew the back cap, there's no interference at all.

Just in case anybody was still wondering! Forgive the lousy pictures, I just wanted to be able to post a definitive answer.

If I didn't say this before, THANKS BROOK!!

The APU-IDX Battery plate made our lives on the Dubai shoot so much easier... ;)

Here is my solution for one of the cameras, the second camera had a different mount with the second APU-IDX, but still with the top handle and worked great, but my set up was preferable and super easy to carry.

Hey Tim,

the Hoodman for the 5.6" I got it form B&H here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/749038-REG/Hoodman_H_R5_6_5_6_Monitor_Hood_for.html

What I use is a Pro-Totype Top mount that slides out a mount for the EVF, (see pics below)

But you can use the one for sale at the RED store:
