  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Upgrade Paths

Fair enough, William. How about this? Three options:

1. If your have a deposit in for WEAPON Mg Upgrade Package, we will honor that with one caveat. Since we are no longer making WEAPON Mg, you can get your same upgrade package - including accessories and applicable credits - but you have to pay for the sensor upgrade from that package. So, an additional $9500 to move from WEAPON DRAGON 6K to EPIC-W HELIUM 8K on top of whatever balance is due for your existing upgrade path.

2. You can do the same thing as above, but change that EPIC-W HELIUM into a WEAPON HELIUM for $15,000, instead of $9500, incremental fee.

3. We can refund your deposit.

I think that is pretty fair and makes a comparable offer to what the people who have WEAPON Mg in hand are getting. I will have the EPIC/DRAGON upgrade information updated...

EPIC/SCARLET DRAGON to both WEAPON CF 6K or WEAPON 8K HELIUM is open...
 
lol!!! I think my heart has skipped multiple beats already.... JESUS you guys are INCREDIBLE!! holyshit! Man, this threw my day into overdrive! Thank you Brent! So just so I dont get ahead of myself and misunderstand. So if we have an epic dragon in for upgrade, and the deposit has been paid but not allocated, we're able to pay off the upgrade fee to finish executing the process and retain our accessories and then pay the additional upgrade fee on top to continue up to whatever path we choose? So weapon MG would pay the $15K (after we pay the remaing balance from the deposit from epic D to mg) to go to weapon helium and retain our package accesories? Man... dont need to say it anymore that you guys killed it... But holyshit.... My head is spinning with all of the insanely generous offers you guys have made so far.... :-D Thank you Brent!

Thanks for the direct answers Brent. It's quite a process for me to get a University to come up with the money for the upgrade in the first place, so if I can get an Epic-W Helium brain instead of the Mg package for the same price I am in for now, then I would be very happy with that and then add accessories to fill it out as I can. I just want a Weapon camera in my arsenal as soon as I can. The Raven packages we just received are great BTW. I hope that is still an option, though not listed above. Thanks again. Just trying to make sense of what's next as I wait for my number to be called.
 
Brent, just wondering if there is a possibility of an Epic MX to Weapon Helium upgrade Path? ( I know there's a mind boggling array of terrific offers already just wondering.. )
 
Maybe I'm to quick with this question: but will there be a normal upgrade path in the future for Scarlet-W owners to Epic-W? Not with massive discount or something, just like what you did for a long time with your other models.
I know now is the best moment to do that upgrade, but I just don't have the money for all the extra costs coming with an Epic-W.

Any WEAPON Mg upgrade not executed. Meaning, you have WEAPON Mg upgrade deposit paid but never sent in for upgrade. Or, your camera for WEAPON Mg upgrade is in house at RED and upgrade not yet done.

I might be confused. I thought you said you had a SIDEKICK already, and were asking if you needed to send in with brain for upgrade? Since you wanted to use with your RAVEN? For DSMC2 cameras upgrading, no need to send in SIDEKICK, no.

Understood. Yup, you can still do the $14,500 trade-in to get into EPIC-W brain…

Nope. Key to get into WEAPON is a DRAGON sensor. Made that clear before NAB 2015...

I know, it would be another upgrade path...
But WeaponMG has a Dragon 6K sensor. Would it be possible to go to Weapon Woven CF 6K. Weapon Helium 8K and Weapon Woven CF 6K have the same price in store...

Any ideas on what the scarlet-w pure orders going out are looking like now. I'm a day 1 order any info on whether you think any day 1 orders will go out this month? Pretty please

Ok, here's the genesis of the thought process. You mentioned that WEAPON HELIUM comes with SIDEKICK/PL Mount 2.0 (initially, until you clearify that it depends on if coming from DSNC1/2). My thought was that the WEAPON Mg getting upgraded will need to be sent in with the SIDEKICK, hence I asked if when sending in the WEAPON Mg I can keep the SIDEKICK, with the assumption (hope) that WEAPON HELIUM comes with SIDEKICK/PL Mount 2.0. At the time I was thinking of outfitting it on either of my RAVENs. So basically I was hoping (base on my assumptions interpretation) that, I send in a bare brain (with Media bay, no mount, no SIDEKICK) and then receive WEAPON HELIUM with SIDEKICK/PL Mount 2.0. Then I can use the spare mount and SIDEKICK on the expected Epic-W since that's coming in bare. Thanks
 
Well now I am as stoked as everyone else on this RED deal! If I can get into Epic-W Helium instead of the Mg package for what I put down already, then that is very cool and worth the wait at this point. Latest and greatest. Thanks Brent and Jarred!
