  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Update......

hey not to complicate this, but if a CF guy like myself ends up broke (which won't happen, bit figure ill ask anyway) and wants to switch lines after tomorrow or whatever...does he/she lose the accessory credit? I'm going to attempt to get CF cuz its what the place i sublease with wants...and also I've got probably quite some time to pay for it until the lines close down, and I'm in no particular rush to weaponize... but more curious for say if i had a bad next six months or something if I'm painting myself into a corner...im sure i can swing it, CF is a lot...but possible...esp if you guys are cool enough to leave the upgrade lines open for as long as its financially reasonable for you to do so...really helps us along to have some longevity in the program cuz then it gives us time to get the cash right..

Also, when a rep leaves, you should get an email from RED relatively quickly stating your new rep. If you PM me your CU, I can verify your rep.

We can cross that bridge if we need to at that time.
 
I was in line before but had to opt out for cash flow, now I have that cash flow back so am incredibly tempted by this to jump right back in, but im so confused as to weather to stick with MG or carbon... decisions decisions.

Brent I assume upgrades will always be first to recieve cameras over buying outright?
 
Looks like there's two DSMC2 MG package upgrades in my future. A great big thanks to Jarred, Brent and all the folks staying up late at RED for this generous offer, it pushed me over the edge, order placed! :)

Jordan, not true. We will do best efforts to fulfill both based on time/stamp, and be agnostic of it being upgrade or new. But, since upgrades always rely on the customer's schedule as much as ours, we can only control that sync so much. Esp with us not even taking in orders for new WEAPON Mg yet....

Interesting, Thanks for the information! Think im going to have to go carbon that future 8K is just too much of a draw...

I sure am glad that I stumbled onto reduser today.

What a killer deal!

When is the best guess as to when these magnesium upgrades will begin? Also, do we send in just our brains or the SSD and mount too?

6k Carbon Weapon upgrades are happening at a steady pace and we are trying to get through all of them by the end of next month then jump right into the Magnesium Weapons.

The troublesome thing for me is that I might not have cash enough if you start upgrading directly. Better for me if you do it next year ^_^
 
If your are not ready to send in your camera at time we are ready to upgrade you, then we will allocate to the next person in line. When you are ready to send in, notify your upgrade rep to let them know you are ready. They will get you back in the queue.
 
Can the aks credit go toward a Raven purchase? Or does it need to be spent on AKS?

I would love to not have to send in my side module. I would put it in a shadow box and hang it on the wall in my office. It's been through hell and back with me and never missed a beat.
 
I have an MG deposit down. If I decide to change to CF, will my upgrade be allocated sooner? And if so, how much sooner than an upgrade to MG?
 
When it is time for your order to be fulfilled, you will be responsible for shipping the BRAIN®, Side SSD Module, and a DSMC Lens Mount (PL mount required, if applicable) to a RED upgrade facility.

Just making sure ... Sending with the Canon Ti mount is OK and I do not have to send my Brain with a PL mount for the trade-in -- correct? The description is slightly confusing.
