  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hold on. Let's clarify then. Are you asking if you already have a WEAPON invoiced where you received $5000 credit and you are wondering if it expires? That is what I was answering.

Or, are you asking if you placed an order that included the accessory discount already, will we take that away? No, we won't.

If you are asking will there be a time where we stop offering an accessory credit on new orders placed? As Jarred says, all good things eventually come to an end.

Frank, its probably safe to assume they would be about the same price since the price difference is the electronics and not the body materials. Here is a post from Jarred back in April (and here) where he offered to put the electronics from a CF into a Mg body for extreme environments.

Think of it this way. The CF Weapon is like an i7 and the Mg is an i5 using a CPU analogy. Or the CF is an iPad Pro and the Mg is an iPad Air. Or Brent's car analogy where the CF is a JCW Mini Cooper and the Mg is a Mini Cooper S.

On the red upgrade page it says "pay remainder of balance within 10 days to get additional $5k accessory credit". Does this hold true because I can't find anyone talking about it. So if I'm upgrading I basically need to pay for it all and not wait till the cam is ready to pay the balance correct?
 
And when will this new magnesium price be official? If I pay now then the price drop goes into effect what happens?

nono some friends already have weapon MGs on order.. im keeping them posted, they don't have time to sort through this thread at this exact time i think they are wondering about what other accessories they can hold out for or something.. regardless they are
totally stoked on the possibility of a discount

Brent I did just this went from MG to CF W but I was told I'd move to the back of the line. I'd still get the NAB accessories and credits but I'd be at the back. Is this not true?

I believe that is for the deposit. e.g. When you put in the order, you must pay the deposit within 10-days. e.g. if you selected wire transfer instead of credit card.

If you are moving up in the food chain, you should not be penalized. PM me your confirmation or CU number.

We do try to restrict people moving around a lot from what they put deposits on. Logitistical cluster, really. We had one person who switched between forged and carbon about seven times.

But, yeah, if you are moving up, we can make it work. Just don't change your mind again, haha.

I would happily pay full price now for my Weapon 8k for an additional 5k credit? Brent, just invoice me or even charge my card on file!

Thanks Jared and Jim and all those at Red who are involved with the price reduction.

Now, we can all use the savings to buy more Red mini-mags etc. That's what I'm going to do.
