  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

And after that I go for the "killer deal". Jarred, Brent and the RED-Team are awesome.

Can you talk a little more about this "killer deal" for Weapon MG owners? Super excited about that...

Thanks Brent. No question both options are killer deals but I love the FOV of Dragon compared to Helium especially at high speed. Just weighing all my options as I shoot a fair bit at 120FPS.

From what I can tell:
Weapon Helium is the CF Weapon Dragon upgraded to Helium
Epic-W is the new name for Mg Weapon Upgraded to Helium.

When the dust settles, there will be:

Dragon DSMC2:

Raven
Scarlet-W
Weapon Dragon 6k
Weapon Dragon 8k VV

Helium DSMC2:

Epic-W 8K
Weapon Helium 8K

Totally understood. Hence WEAPON 6K DRAGON and WEAPON 8K HELIUM living side by side in our lineup....

So if you want 120fps with a good FOV there is Dragon anywhere from the low end to the high end. But if you want it on Helium, gotta go BIG to Weapoon Helium.

Seems like your only choice is to put the money you got from your Scarlet-D sale into ordering a new Scarlet-W before Oct 11 for $9950, then upgrading that deposit on Oct 11 to an Epic-W upgrade for an additional $10000.

Depending on how much you sold your Scarlet-D for, and how much the new Red One/Scarlet-MX/Epic-MX/Scarlet-Dragon/Epic-Dragon upgraders have to pay to get to Epic-W (after sending their camera back to RED), that $19950 pre-OCT 11 Scarlet-W/depositor to Epic-W upgrade path could still be cheaper for you overall anyway.

It's an interesting point though that when it comes to upgrading to Epic-W's, the Scarlet-D owners who have already made their deposit and been waiting for their Scarlet-W's have effectively been moved into the category of new upgraders (along with the RED ONE's and Scarlet-MX's etc.), whether they still have their Scarlet-D bodies and ownership or not, instead of moving into the same category as current Scarlet-W owners or other Scarlet-W deposit holders.
