History has shown time and time again there is a future. Think a generation out. Use this time to shoot the hell out of your camera.

Yes existing Scarlet-W owners too... but you that have your cameras already will need to wait till the ones that don't and want to upgrade get sorted.

I can wait...my SW is great, also like this I have more time to make some $$$

soooo, what did you mean when you clearly said there IS a path for every SINGLE RED CAMERA OWNER on oct 11th??? that would be everyone that owns a red camera.
not everyone that is waiting for a camera. no?
having an undelivered raven is not considered being an owner.

Not sure if you are talking about what Brent or I said, but When I say no RED OWNER left behind I was talking about the non DSMC2 family guys that missed the last upgrade cycle, the Scarlet MX, Epic MX, RED ONES, and Epic / Scarlet DSMC1 Dragons.

SCARLET-W, waiting for a camera, has a path. RAVEN, waiting for a camera, currently (key word) has a path to SCARLET-W. Hence, both groups have paths to take advantage of Oct 11 announcements....

Ok, so there will be no Epic W upgrade for someone who owns a Raven (paid in full), but people who paid $500 deposit (technically not owners) get to upgrade? Yeah that doesn't make a lot of sense. This is basically saying we'll hook up everyone who's been waiting on their Raven (even if they placed a deposit on Oct 10th)and hasn't gotten it, but everyone who jumped the gun first and got their Raven is assed out.

It makes sense since you could have upgraded at anytime after you put in your order.

I feel a little pinched by the fact that Weapon MG is gone, and while the Epic-W might be a similar upgrade cost, I was kinda banking on those accessories. Anxious to see pricing Oct 11th. Maybe another accessory credit?

My Epic Dragon - X was worth $15,500 + $5390 accessory package, so basically worth $20,890 with 14,000 to pay. If Epic-W is 30k and I'll have to pay over 10k it's at least $1000 more I gotta get, potentially two or three times that, to get the new brain all working, that I didn't need before.

Hypothetically, if I ordered a Scarlet-W right now and switched to Epic-W for $20K total... and then sold my Epic Dragon for $15K, I would basically get a $5K upgrade to Epic-W?
I'm telling myself to not read this thread and tempt myself to buy another camera, but I just want to be aware of what I'll be missing out on, lol.

That's all true, however you'll be missing out on the accessory package that comes with the weapon mg from epic dragon. That and I'm also curious how the wait would be if you're jumping on Scarlet-W now to Epic-W. I'm sure it's still a better deal to sell your epic Dragon and go to epic-w if you're not keen on jumping to weapon helium. I guess it just depends on whether you can float the cash to get the Epic-W while you hold onto your Epic Dragon, or sell the Epic Dragon and pre-order the Scarlet-W/Epic-W and go without a camera while you wait. This is what I've been wondering as well.

If that was the case, then why are people who placed a deposit on a Raven for instance yesterday still get an upgrade path, however people who believed in the product (Raven) from day 1 don't. Just to clarify if this upgrade was for a small batch of people who ordered the camera early on but still haven't gotten it, I could understand that.. But for people who place a deposit today, to score while early owners don't seems strange to me.

Raven is not getting an upgrade. Only people who once started with the raven order then changed to a Scarlet-W get the upgrade, so it's the scarlet-w getting the upgrade not the raven. It was always clearly stated that it would never have an upgrade. If you were somebody who thought you would want to participate in upgrades you we're given the option to change over to a scarlet-w because that was the upgradable camera.
