I understand the frustration, I'm myself waiting for the WC battery mount that doesn't seem to ship when it's supposed to so I haven't even been able to move my camera out of places where's there AC power.
But understand that these cameras are precision tools and the QC on the sensors are light years ahead of many others. Paying for a Red I would say is the cheapest way to get a quality camera in terms of reliability. There are cheaper cameras, but that comes at another price, breaking down, specs not quite right, quality not to a certain standard, can't manage to work during critical work etc. Few years ago people spoke of Red in that way, but I've seen so many other cameras fail that I only put my trust in Arri, Red and Sony these days. So the demand is high, but Red won't skip on quality and you should embrace that as much as you can because in the end it pays off.
Now, I don't know what business or thing your doing, or will do with the Scarlet, but if it's narrative work, I would suggest putting your time into fine-tuning projects that will be shot on that camera. I was primarily getting my Red to do my own narrative work, but I'm still doing preproduction and writing for them, so I'm not even ready shooting yet, even though I already have my camera.
