  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Jarred, the upgrade path you hinted at a few months back for Epic X users, still in the cards or is that dusted? Any solid info on what options we might have if so?

there was mention of an upgrade path for Epic-x? Have an M still on MX sensor, would be interested if there was upgrade options, missed the dragon window!

Helium , is new sensor :) This means better Dragon?! or is same Dragon but with 3.65micron pixel ?!I await the official announcement in a few weeks ;)

How does this compare with 6K Dragon? Will it only be higher resolution at s35mm or will it be more than 8K for the same sensor size as our current Dragon 6K? I.e 9 or 10K?
 
Can we finally get a vague idea of when Scarlet-W will ship for those of us who have not been allocated?
 
Hope that this new sensor will not make the scarlet w obsolete now... :(

ps. I suppose that the Scarlet W will be able to be upgraded with this new sensor??
 
I realy hope there is an upgrade path for Scarlet w to The new 8k helium...
 
Are we going to see any scarlet w pure orders at all? Switchers still haven't received all the cameras yet. I got in on the first day and still have no idea when to expect to receive little bit frustrating at this point 8 months down the line of preorder

i guess im really confused now, haha. Im glad im at the lowest point of investment with the raven.
so is he saying that there is a new sensor replacing the dragon sensor?
just a few months after all these new cameras were released and paid for (and most havent even got yet)
or am i totally off and helium wont be a buyable thing for a couple of years?

Sound like there will be options all at the same time. A very diverse lineup
 
If the bottleneck is only with Scarlet-W and Raven and if the new Helium sensor makes those lines faster at producing cameras, then I think we have a situation where everybody is happy. At the end of the day those who will get the Helium sensor will be paying a lot more than the people that still don't have their cameras. I think a strong ecosystem with different great products for all the price ranges possible will benefit everybody.
