  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

If I were Brody_B, I'd only have one question:

1. Can all of us Scarlet-W pre-order upgraders show up on October 10th for a BYOW (Bring Your Own Whiskey) at RED HQ, have a whiskey-off all night and leave with an Epic-W on hand (after order processing of course)?

It may make Oct 11 a little easier to go through if we're all drunk, no? It's a theory.

One big thing as we hone in on 30min left before Jarred leaves...we can't be mad at Brody if he misses the 2hr window. There's no way he could've known this was going to happen. Just don't want anyone to turn on our own.

That being said, I'm all for playful teasing and holding this over him in the future.

Kind of a bummer that you have to crop so much just to go above 60fps... the Scarlet-W is 120fps at 4K, which is a larger cut that 4K on Helium.

theoretically, if 4k is 1/4 of 8K, would it take roughly the same processing power to do 240fps 4K as 60fps at 8K?

I think from already SW owners there is no such rush, I suppose before end of October? Anyway I already told the guys at Red UK that Im in so as soon there is the moment for the deposit I will send!
 
The number I was texting was from the website listed in his signature. That person wasn't Brody but saw the text and is now forwarding to Brody... we'll see if that gets through. 30 min left... ;)

Actually only 10 min... Oh well... happy shooting Jarred!

So it's thanksgiving here in Canada on Oct 10th, told the fam I have to do something extremely important.. stay up to upgrade my S-W lol

I'm sure someone asked this but couldn't find it through the 300 pages... once we place the upgrade deposit to Epic-W and we already own an S-W, do we have to send the camera back that day?

you will get allocated, and you will make plans to send your camera in at that time
 
I was hoping Brody would ask if a new line of RED lenses are going to be announced on the 11th. Or ask for a detail of Jim's secret project.
