It is getting close to the end of October and the Meizler module still has a projected shipping date of mid-November. As someone who has ordered the module I can't help but notice that the mini-mag media, adapter/reader, RedSync Master and HD-SDI Receiver haven't arrived in the Red.com store yet. Without them I'll pretty much be the proud owner of a new sports car without any wheels (looks good sitting there, you just can't actually drive it anywhere). Will these key support products be shipping with the Meizler?

Jarred mentioned that Preston support, Preston are on a six week delivery schedule right now, does the Meizler essentially replace the MDR2 module? Any special cables for the DM2 motors?

The iPad mini has been announced. Pardon my ignorance to Apple products but this gizmo looks to have all the features of the iPad2, just smaller so it should run the Meizler control app correct?

Just trying to get the Meizlers new room painted and the furniture in place before its arrival. Cheers!
 
Yes - would love to know more details about the various support items surrounding the Meizler.

First and foremost, any news from Preston on HU3 (G4) compatibility?
 
Perhaps we will get some more info on this on November 1 when the price reduction announcement comes. We're interested in a Meizler Module, but it would be nice to get more details on these support products.
 
Don't mean to be negative - but this is pretty typical. When I got my Epic - it was pretty unusable for the first few months with most things on backorder. No Redmote. No side handle. No available battery plates, etc. One of the side effects of being "bleeding edge". I am interested in the Meizler - but will wait until the kinks get worked out and all the pieces are available.
 
Dont get your hopes up on it working anytime soon if its like the pro I/o which i bought.

The aux power that is the reason why i bought it for running steady cam still doesn't work. RED will not comment on why. I just spent $3200 for a mini xlr adapter.

I love red but I will never buy any of there proprietary accessories again.
