  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

SO 1732 scheduled to arrive on monday. Guys with higher SO's relax, when people say things are picking up theyre not joking. I think later orders are gonna receive cameras in less time than day one orderers. I placed an order on the 4th weeks before it was even shipping, as things ramp up I doubt that others will wait three months like I did.

about how many scarlets are delivered right now?

Rough estimate 200-500, but who knows. If the list is accurate at all, theres probably around 200 delivered and a total of about 600-800 ordered.

The list shouldn't be considered accurate at all. There's no way that anything even remotely like every single Scarlet order is on there. And clearly, a lot of people who put themselves on the list have not updated their status since. I don't think we can reasonably assume more than 50% of orders are on the List.

While serial numbers have been delivered way out of order, there's been cameras out the door with S/Ns in the 800s and 900s . And the recent trend has been for higher S/Ns. So I'd tend to go to the high end of your first rough estimate. The List alone would indicate something like 200 confirmed deliveries by this point.

I agree with this. Hell, I know two orders personally that aren't on our list, so it definitely isn't an accurate source of information. More of a fun distraction, if anything.

Yeah. I know of some rental houses who got really late orders fairly recently, and they are getting several Scarlets, not one. The thing that I find amusing though is that they are in line with everyone else for things like battery plates, top plates, bottom plates, etc. So even though they got their Scarlet orders pushed through, they can't power their Scarlets. Sort of funny.

This better not be true, As anyone waiting "in line" would be interested to know...... If this is true, well heck I'll call and nag them too. I am renting mine out, does that mean I get to have it now? OH wait, We ALL ARE ALL THE SUDDEN renting our scarlets out! ;) Not cool if it is a reality.

While that is true, many of users might have their own gear to use the Scarlet bodies for rent. But either way, it does help sometimes to be a big name. I am sure Peter Jackson got his 48 Epic bodies pretty quickly =]. It isn't fun waiting, but they are moving much much faster than I would have expected. I waited the same amount of time, if not longer, last year for Panasonic Canada to deliver to its customers, and they said nothing to the retailers when they would come. Red has done a great job and they continue to evolve forward.

My order I believe is the latest PL to begin the process, payment was made and sent to shipping. Hoping to ship and receive this week. Will update when received, good luck everyone!

I know it's only about 12:45PM in CA, but from the sound of it we should probably get ready for at least tons of LCDs to be allocated and shipped this week!

What the list does do however, is give a fairly good indication of speed of delivery, reading between the lines. And I'm afraid to say it feels rather slow. But... it is gradually picking up pace.

Yes please note that the list is only as accurate as YOU all make it. I know of quite a few Scarlets that have already been delivered, but they never added their orders to the list. Don't know why, hopefully they are all to busy working. Also seems that as soon as everyone gets their camera in & posts a look I got it thread, they dont send me an update, which explains quite a few of the still unallocated up higher in the list. I guess it could also be called the "OCD Scarlet Anxiously Awaiting and Updating List" but it is good to see when a RED mass allocation is coming up and how the groups of cameras going out is slowly getting larger.

Keep in mind that there were a ton of orders on the 3rd. I would wager that there were almost as many in the last 4 hours of the 3rd as there were all day on the 4th. Our Scarlet AL was ordered at 9 am EST on the 4th, it will be here tomorrow. I'm thinking it will pick up now that they are done with the orders from the 3rd and it will progressively get faster as the "orders per hour" ratio drops.

SO 1605 landed in Tahoe today. SN#1034. Psyched!

Got Redmote, Waiting on my Side Handle & the WC AB Plate/Quickback, so I'm tethered to the AC power.

Leica R set look great on the cam, but FYI the Wooden Camera LW 15 clamps stick out so far that I had to put my FF on the right side of cam. Not the biggest deal but I'm used to rocking it with my left hand.

Got my LCD allocation email today, I guess Jarred wasn't kidding about getting out of backorder. Ordered on Dec 21st.
