  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The "LED" light Group Buy

Be happy to show em to you Billy, I'm currently in prod right now, but have a day off soon, or you can come to set, I'll pm you back. Ketch is right, these are the best led's I have ever worked with. Thanks Ketch for bringing this group sale to our community!

area 48

area 48

anybody seen a manual for these lamps, ie the control panel?

Thank you Ketch, and thank you in advance Michael....I look forward to checking out the lights.

My pleasure Billy! And thanks again Michael for been so fast to offer!

No need for thanks Ketch, you've been contributing to the forum for years now, it's time for me to make myself useful around here too.
@ Billy your very welcome, I'll see you on location Wed.

Thanks again to Michael for his generosity (I will pay it forward) in showing me the Area 48 fixture.Build quality and light output is impressive.Ketch, would you know if BBS is considering different configurations (I want ringlight and fresnel as well).I'd be okay with waiting a bit, especially if the 2nd Group Buy can include the smaller Area 12 and Area 24.

Glad you dig the Area 48 Billy, BB&S is certainly planning for other Fixtures, stating with the Area 24 & Area 12, but all else is currently been kept as inside info of what they are working on.

One thing for sure is that if all possible, they'll allow me to bring them to Reduser as Group Buys when ready.

You're welcome, Billy, it was very nice meeting you and your friend! I too look forward to the release of the 12 and 24 versions. Ketch you can count me in the next group buy!

Cool Matt... Stay tuned... The Area 48 Group Buy Part II is coming soon... ;)

What I will do is announced here and just change the title to this thread as to make sure every one will understand that this is for second round at this group buy.

I think is best to keep it all in one, as all the info and comments form those that have received their Area 48 Units in the first round are also all here, and would be best to just not start an other entire thread which will prompt questions already answered here.

Don't you guys think is a good idea?

I received the battery plates yesterday Ketch. I really like the way they attach not only with the four pins, but the captured philips/thumb screws that will not get separated from the plate on removal. It's one of the little things that can make a big difference.

Also I agree it's a great idea to keep the thread going for the second round.

Geoff

Great to hear Geoffrey, and yes some tough when i to the design of the battery mount, to which I am proud to have had a small input, the guys at BB&S are great at listening and even greater at building a truly great product.

Glad you like the idea of keeping things in here, I also don't like to pollute too much this forum with too many treads... When possible... Since I already do enough of that... ;)

Great to hear David!!

And want to take this opportunity of your visit here to say what an incredible job you are doing with all your various Group Buys... I hope every one here can appreciate the work that goes in to pulling one together and the responsibility that goes with it in order not to fail our fellow REDUSER, no matter what agreement might be made with the manufacturer, at the end if the deals go bad our reputation goes bad with it, and that is a BIG responsibility we, those that do Group Buy, have to carry with it.

I'd also be interested in a group buy for the Area48.

Great guys...

Getting things locked down for you and when ready, which will be very soon, we'll post this up and change the title of this thread to reflect that the Second Group Buy round has begin...

IMPORTANT to understand that this time it will be a very short run and that the fixtures are ready to ship, a Code will be given and you'll place the orders directly at the respective sites in Europe and or California to get yours!!
