  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ciao Ketch - I saw the Area 48's at one of Alex Buono's Storytelling tour stops and was hoping to get in on the buy. I was unable to jump in before NAB, partly due to the cost and not having any hands-on with these - and I already had a pair of the Lite Panels. But after seeing (and reading) how the value is added due to the additional light (strength & quality), I am hoping to add these to my kit. Also, I'm curious ... does your current shoot here in the states include green screen shooting with these Area 48's with the Chroma Green Remote Phosphor panels? Thanks - Jerry
 
Okay Jerry, but as I said earlier in this thread, I am encountering some strong opposition from resellers to make this happen again, so while I continue to work on it, it is no longer something I can promise will happen.

No Green Screen in this shoot, but even if there was, the Area 48 Green Remote Phosphor panels are not ready till end of the month.

Ketch, hopefully it works out again. I don't know what happened with the last group buy, but I never received any response or instructions to complete the purchase the last time around. I'm still interested and would definitely be interested in a dual carry bag solution and green phosphors as well.

If there is no possibility in us as an last option perhaps let it remain outside us. Im talking about the absolute last option so put down your guns=)

And since we have at last arrived at the doors of Principal Photography beginning tomorrow on my first short "The RED dress" shooting on Dragon nonetheless... We'll have that BTS Vids with the Area 48's at work after all... Just need to be patient to see the results themselves as I will take my time to make sure it is Post processed just like I would if it was a Feature Film.

But the BTS frame grabs out of the Red Epic, which will be used for the BTS and the Vids to follow will answer some additional questions, and also fill free to send any additional questions to be answered in a Q&A style, during the filming of the BTS on set, just do so via my Twitter @KETCHROSSi
