  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I just want to throw one thing into the pool of ideas, remember that little controller called "Apurture V-Control"? It's a USB-controller made for DLSRs, i guess there are many others like this, but how about connecting this to a phone and, well you know the rest...

Optitron2, looks like this is finally it. Not being able to use the MotionMount with the Optitron was the biggest reason for me to not get the Optitron.
 
No word anywhere yet about ND control in the motion mount, though i don't see why focus control would be any different than the regular Red EF mount.
Mikeal, can fool control do anything with the ND in the motion mount?

It would be A-mazing to have ND selectable for the iris slider on a two channel hand held unit.

Yes Philip, foolcontrol can change MM mode and value in stops, ND value and fraction... Can also display equivalent iso and shutter angle restrictions with the different modes.

Check out this video posted 3 weeks ago when I enabled MM support

And yes a foolcontrol mini is being worked on... for iOS...

As of firmware version 5.2.15 we have official opened up the fine grained lens control. An updated SDK will be posted shortly with the details.

Thanks Trent, any rough timeframe for a release FW with RCP > 2.5 ?
Looks like it is the main hold-up for REDLink adoption at rental houses here... their cameras can never go out on a feature with a beta FW.

Janek ,All I want is a wheel thingy that sticks to my iphone screen with a suchtion cup... :)

A suction cup with puck on it that has a little "rubber finger" that sticks down and touch the screen and goes in circles around the suction cup.. Sized to fit / cover most of the iphone screen... then if we want iris as well we would have to upgrade to ipad and run with two pucks/suction cups...

Then whats left over from the ipad screen would be for camera setting controls etc.

As I understand we could run the camera with iphone / wifi no? So what is the hold back?

I had the best programer hired for almost ten years and right before this shit comes out he decides to quit to go work for the guys that makes candy crush saga... talk about bad timing, lol.
