Teradek RT CTRL.3 and MDR.X

I know many of you have heard the rumors and seen various prototypes over the years, but today we finally announced our next generation 3-axis CTRL.3 controller and (in)famous MDR.X receiver.

There is an upgrade program available for those of you with Latitude and MK 3.1 equipment. If you want to add to your existing kit, the good news is that these new products are compatible with the previous generation.

Check out the videos below for an overview. Some notable features include lens mapping, real-time lens data overlays on SmallHD monitors, and a new RT iOS app. We expect to begin shipping in May.

MDR.ACI is your best bet

Yea, you should be fine. It won't expire for at least a few months after everything is shipping.

I noticed there is a pre-order price too, will the mk3.1 trade in amount clear that or will it only cover the final payment?

The price you see on the Upgrade page is the credit you would get. There is no special pricing for pre-orders.

The retail price on the CTRL.3 is $3,499 and the MDR.X is $1,499

Does only the MDR.X have lens mapping fuctionality? ... or does the MDR.ACI also have this feature?

Lens mapping is built into the controller. Currently, the CTRL.1 and CTRL.3 support it.
