For NAB 2014, Teradek is releasing 3 new transmitters and 3 new receivers for the popular Bolt family of zero delay wireless video transmission products. Like previous models, the new Bolt Pro systems offer the same great uncompressed, zero delay 4:2:2 video transmission over the unlicensed 5GHz band.

*Note: HDMI only and SDI only units come with a single matching output on the RX. You can mix and match just like the older systems (SDI TX + HDMI RX, etc..) All new models come with USB 3.0 outputs on the receiver.

Uncompressed Wireless HD Video
The Teradek Bolt line of latency-free wireless video transmission systems allows you to send uncompressed 1080p60, 4:2:2 video up to 2000ft over the unlicensed 5GHz band. Bolt Pro is multicast capable up to 4 receivers and comes in many varieties, including the short-range Bolt Pro 300, the mid-range Bolt Pro 600, and the long range Bolt Pro 2000.

Bolt Pro 300
The Bolt Pro 300 is the latest update to the popular Bolt Pro line, off ering you a choice of HDMI, 3G-SDI, or dual inputs/ outputs on the transmitter and receiver. The 300 model maintains its internal antennas and offers a completely redesigned fan-less receiver that includes a USB 3.0 output, which allows you to ingest video directly into your computer or DIT cart with ease.

Dual Input/Output: $2990

Bolt Pro 600
The Bolt Pro 600 uses a new RF design that extends the transmission range up to 600ft line of sight. The 600 model offers your choice of HDMI, 3G-SDI, or dual input models and includes RP-SMA connections for external antennas on the transmitter.

HDMI: $4990
3G-SDI: $5490
Dual Input/Output: $5990

Bolt Pro 2000
The Bolt Pro 2000 increases the line of sight range all the way up to 2000ft and also comes in HDMI, 3G-SDI and dual input models. Like the Bolt Pro 600, the 2000 can also be outfitted with high gain antennas for increased range and resiliency.

HDMI: $7490
3G-SDI: $8490
Dual Input/Output: $8990

Updated Receiver Design
The new receiver for the Bolt Pro 600 and 2000 models is half the size and weight of the previous long range receiver and offers your choice of HDMI, 3G-SDI, or dual outputs. The new fan-less chassis design also includes a built-in LCD for checking your wireless link status and pairing additional Bolt Pro receivers in the fi eld. Each new receiver model comes with a USB 3.0 output and external antennas.

GRAB™ Video Engine
The Bolt Pro 300, 600 and 2000 support the patent-pending GRAB video ingest engine, which turns the Bolt Pro receiver into the world’s first wireless video capture card. The USB 3.0 output allows users to ingest Bolt’s uncompressed video feed directly into a DIT Cart, NLE computer or live production switcher with no added delay or further conversion required. Since the GRAB engine supports the ubiquitous USB 3.0 Video Class, your Bolt Pro receiver appears like a built-in video source to your software and will work in any Windows or Mac applications that support video.

Bolt Pro 2000 w/ dual input (HDMI and 3G-SDI) and new RX is the same cost as it is now: $7990

Bolt Pro 600 is TBA, though it will be priced between the Bolt Pro 300 and Bolt Pro 2000.

Bolt Pro 300 w/ dual input (HDMI and 3G-SDI) and new RX is also TBA. Price is likely to be $2990. Ships this summer.

The new GRAB Engine receiver is also TBA, though it should not be far from the standard RX cost.

We are evaluating upgrade paths. These will be announced shortly.

I'm going to have to see that Bolt Pro 300 TX at NAB. Very interesting. Love the dual input option.

I am not sure if any of you watch the ASP surfing events?
In recent times they have been able to transmit HD (looking) wireless from a jetski in the surf. From what I can see, they have a massive transmitter strapped to the back of the ski but it would be interesting to see what the pro 2000 can do in a much smaller package. Maybe you would need a better antenna on the receiver to get a reliable signal.
Does anyone know what system they use on the back of those jetskis?

So it's over a month since NAB. Is there already more clear about the upgrade options?

Sorry for the delay. The models have slightly changed since we announced them back at NAB. The 300, 600 and 2000 receivers all come with USB 3.0 outputs. The 600 and 2000 model TX come in HDMI only, 3G-SDI only, or dual input (HDMI and 3G-SDI). The new 300 model only comes in dual input.

All dual input TX units come with dual output RX (HDMI and 3G-SDI + USB 3.0). If you get a single input model, you get a single output RX of the matching input you chose. Of course, you can mix and match if you like.

Bolt Pro 300 (HDMI and 3G-SDI only units will still remain the same as the old model for now)

Dual Input: $2990

Bolt Pro 600

HDMI: $4990
3G-SDI: $5490
Dual Input: $5990

Bolt Pro 2000

HDMI: $7490
3G-SDI: $8490
Dual Input: $8990

*Note: The old Bolt 2000 receivers will work with the new Bolt 2000 system

Bolt Pro 2000 Upgrade Program

1. Turn your old system in and add $500, you get a brand new Bolt Pro 2000 SDI input, SDI output + USB 3.0
2. Turn your old system in and add $1000, you get a brand new Bolt Pro 2000 Dual Input (SDI / HDMI) + Dual Out (SDI / HDMI) + USB 3.0

The Upgrade Program will only apply to those who bought the first generation Bolt Pro 2000. I will share that information hopefully no later than Monday.

HI!

thanks for the update. When you say "" Bolt Pro 300 (HDMI and 3G-SDI only units will still remain the same as the old model for now)""

but you also say

"" The 300, 600 and 2000 receivers all come with USB 3.0 outputs""

so will the 300rx have the 3.0 recordable output? If not I assume it's ok to just buy a bolt pro rx now since it will be the same as a bolt300? Sounds like the bolt300 tx and rx will be the same as the current bolt pro but the newer rx will have the 3.0 port on it. correct?

thanks!

Sorry, I know its a little confusing.

The new 300ft range Bolt model will come in ONLY dual input HDMI / SDI and dual output HDMI / SDI + USB 3.0. The price is $2990. This includes the new receiver which is fan-less and looks more like a candy bar.

If you want just a single input/output model, then you'll just pick up the current models we're selling which do NOT include USB. The new model goes on sale in July, but you can take advantage of the Group Buy here on RedUser for the discount.

YEEEEESSSSSS!

Thank you very much

Mike, may additional receivers be added to a single Bolt Pro 300 xmitter and rcv system at a later date?

Tnx
David

So no upgrades from a current uni or multicast normal bolt to a bolt 600 possible for example?
