Hi Red Team.
Since we need to do cropping on FF5K Epic footage to make 16x9, in Redcine-X I will use the "Fit Height".
If I also check the "Lock Aspect Ratio", the Source Resolution goes to some improbable figure. See attached screenshots.
It does not seem to affect the output.
Cheers,
Harry

Hi Harry,

Unfortunately the screenshots are too small for me to see what's going on ... I'm also going to assume you are using 501?
Can you try Pro v4?

Cheers,
David

Oops sorry, try these.
Yes, 501. Can you reproduce this behavior?
I will try the Pro app as well.
Cheers,
Harry

Thanks Harry.

That looks correct to me ... setting an aspect ratio or fit mode has no effect if NoCrop is set. The wrong source resolution being displayed is most likely a gui bug. I wasn't able to reproduce it in Pro.

David

Did you try it in 501? Just curious...
Cheers,
H.

Hi Harry,

I did, and wasn't able to reproduce. Unless you are seeing erroneous transcodes, I wouldn't worry too much.
