Can i assign on the A,B,C,D different frame rate + shutter speed and lets be crazy black shading?
Thank you

Nope, unfortunately. It's the same mapping interface as the side handle, REDmote, and camera/touchscreen buttons. If you can/can't apply it to one of those buttons, the same goes for the ABCD keys on the Switchblade.

You can create a preset with your desired settings and assign the preset to one of the buttons. This will cover most settings - but not black shading.

Charles, you can can assign a key to load up the Calibration Management panel. I've actually mapped that to one of the keys on the brain if you're curious.

I wish there was an option to have the blackshades chosen automatically depending on our camera settings. (happy to capture them during prep).

Dragon has been the camera of choice here for a while, and has won several DP's over... but the hassle of selecting blackshades on set is a real pain.

(Especially when in a rig, in a shotover system etc). It is slow and annoying.

I got nothing but love for Red but the whole idea of blackshading needs to go away.

I'm not a fan of long blackshading times as well as the next man, but last time I checked there's no other 6K sensor of the same quality and equally powerful electronics packed into small Epic body. Alexa 65 does 6K by stitching together three Alev3 sensors vertically, the camera body too is understandably larger than the Alexa 35 versions. That said, the tech heads at Sony cooking something wonderful for the next generation of DSLRs and most likely professional digital cinema cameras too. If the reports of new sensors overexposure latitude and sensitivity are correct... holy sheet!

Dragon blackshDing is so quick, really not an issue since you can store 4 now, but I suppose auto would be even better

do you guys generally black shade on every job or load previous ones at the same shutter angle? I generally just do it at the beginning of every day but it sounds like some of you just reload an old one?
