  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Surprise...

Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to jim, the red team and the shooters!!!

How about getting the IBC reel??? That's the one that has several of my shots and I'd love to have it

We have a "rights" issue with that one for posting. We have a second version of it with "no rights issues", but it pales in comparison to the 1st one. Still working to resolve the "issues".

Seriously guys, thank you for posting this. This is the perfect thing to pull out when a client is on the fence about using RED.

I have to say that the one thing this reel proves in addition to the Red One being a great image capture device is the potential when put in the hands of people who know how to get the most out of images. There is some really nice cinematography in there and the grading is quite exceptional. It has me inspired.

Great work on this!

That would be cool, because my clips aside I still thought the IBC reel had more effect

New reel is great !

New reel is great !

Hi Guys,
Love the new one.
I am humbled by some of the work there.
Shame I could not make it to Vegas...
I second the idea of making the IBC reel available as I had three shots on that one versus just one on this one.
I hope the issues don't have to do with the footage I shot.
I'd be happy to try and work them out if it is within my reach.
Thanks for posting it,

Thank you for posting rock solid RED footage, my wife won't be able to argue with me anymore in T-minus 8:02

p.s. The eagle footage didn't quite do it for her Mr. Jannard

So that's what my RED ONE is capable of eh? Thanks a lot, now I just feel plain stupid. ;)

Does your PS3 play MOV files?

Does your PS3 play MOV files?

Now to put it on my PS3 and watch as it should be watched....well, as I will watch it anyway.

Maybe off-topic, but... several people mentioned putting this file on their PS3. I'd like to do that too since my laptop screen is much smaller than my TV. But my PS3 does not recognize MOV files, and it never has. It does see and play .MP4 and .m2t files just fine. Is there some setting I have wrong? Are people transcoding this, or extracting it into a MP4 container?

My PS3 is not networked; I transfer files to the PS3 using a USB memory stick, if that matters. Maybe there was a firmware update to enable MOV playback?
