4k Dragon is the sweet spot? That's so ironic given Raven... That said, doesn't 4k Dragon with Speedbooster comes out to about 1.3x, which isn't much better than 5k Dragon's FOV (and actually less than 6k's 1.2x FOV).

Well I need to work the figures out as there are many variables on speedboosters. But working back 5k FF gives just about FF on a 35mm camera. Yes very ironic4k Dragon is the sweet spot? Yeah, I mean, don't get me wrong; this is rad (extra ~stop of light is nothing to scoff at) and FF35 FOV at 5k has benefits (lower compression, higher FPS, etc)... It's just funny how Raven seems so prime for this, but probably isn't feasible.
Here is a frame size test. 6k, 5k and 4k. Then 4k with the speedbooster.
With the speedbooster the frame size is greater that 5k and not that far off 6k.
It would be wonderful if they did have an option for a front end mod on the Raven, might be eating into other areas of their business though. But don't see what there is to loose. Even if there is a trade of on image quality,
Do we lose "image quality" with speed booster?
I would love to have a medium format > 35mm speed booster... I've heard Kipon are releasing one later in the year.- 02-21-2016, 08:46 PM
No ;-)Is there any medium format lens that really makes a 0.7x focal reducer worthwhile vs the available ff35 lenses?
