I personally feel like Magnesium is a wonderful middle ground. As is Scarlet-W for that matter. Lots to like in this lineup!!

But with NAB around the corner, and rumors of "EPIC-W" in the air...I'm gunna wait next 6 weeks and see what happens. I'm sorta a huge can of 6K, so I'd like to stay there if possible.

im impressed RED can have a flavor for everyone. i think i know tech pretty well and can barely keep up.
i was only saying earlier for me, commercials and tv, is a weird place, no matter what we rent the best camera available, but still get in trouble for shooting anything over 4k (unless it's vfx)
so ill be shooting on weapons from now on but in 4khd mostly, the raven will just be my little perfect artsy side kick.

My clients love 6K. They recieve 1080p graded QT masters for broadcast. But go back to the 6K R3Ds A LOT for VFX/DESIGN work.

I also love the SIZE of 6K (the sensor size). It's a great medium btw S35 and Vista.

Gene, yes, some SCARLET-W Package folks have been notified. Availability is fluid depending on take rate, production output, quality control, supplier deliveries, etc etc. In a perfect world, by the time we notify you, settle payment, begin processing, the product meets us at the finish line and it would ship. But, given that it is not perfect and one little shift can delay things. Those delays should be assumed to be in the vein of "a few days", not weeks or months.

First time i actually hold a Scarlet-W and Raven...man those are so small!!
Handheld operation with the outrigger is as easy and as light as a C100.

I was surprise how compact the Jetpack actually is, the lock function on the HDMI port is genious.
Really liked the Sidekick too, super fast and intuitive.

On a side note, i really dig the Scarlet look.
So much technology in such a tiny package is simply mindblowing !

Got the chance to check out the Scarlet-W, Raven, and Weapon at Red Studios Hollywood this evening and gotta say huge props to the Red team. You guys really killed it on the new DSMC2 line up.

Proud to finally be a part of the red family. Can't wait till my order is allocated!
