  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sorry, if there was a little miscommunication, Dan. Let me clarify...

Orders are still going out as quickly as they can be processed after inventorying, extensive QC, and restocking. On top of that, we are doing our month end inventory as well as upgrading our ERP system at the beginning of next week. So, that is probably what your rep meant - that there might be some delays in order processing until Nov 1 due to those two things.

Thanks for being patient. We are going as fast as we can without sacrificing quality assurance and not letting balls drop in other departments while we deal with this SCARLET spike.

IMHO I think the BMCC is a great camera ... but if you wanna compare ... you should compare it to the Alexa ... I think the look of the BMCC is more like an Alexa look ... RED has Its own style .
 
Just got the tracking number for mine (and not the accessories since I didn't order anything else).
 
So was this a worst case scenario? It seems that people who ordered on the same date are receiving cameras.

14.5 pounds of goodness has been shipped via FedEx - will arrive on Monday. I know it's the cam 'cause the accessories arrived this past Tuesday.

These are the nominal resolutions. We've yet to see what kind of measured resolution the BM camera has. As for compression - not that it should be discussed in the same conversation as resolution, but - Scarlet can go as low as 3:1. Uncompressed is NOT inherently superior by any means.
 
Received the real tracking number today (already have the other pieces of the kit), even though my bomb rep told me not to expect it til the 29th. I ordered the day the BT Scarlet's were posted.

Mine is all set-up in the studio - I't will be on a paying gig tomorrow with it's sister.

Emailed my rep today about it - she says: "[FONT=&quot]Aside from the extended processing time due to the extra QC Steps. [/FONT][FONT=&quot]We are in the process of migrating to an updated ERP system. We will resume processing and shipping on Thursday. I will not know more on status until that time.[/FONT]" Order went through on the 16th - got the accessories early last week.

May be a good thing with the pricing announcement? My accessories are getting lonely though.
 
Placed order on the evening of the 15th. No tracking or updates. Accessories shipped. This is a dive into the RED system for me. Really excited but a little frustrated by the extensive wait.

Ask some of those who ordered on November 3rd about the wait.... :wink5:

Not much room for frustration...especially if you read as to why it's taking awhile.
