  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet and Epic BUILD 4.0.6 BETA

Using the latest 4.0.6 beta
Adding a canon and enabling autofocus completely locks-up my epic-x..

After a hard-reset de camera is working again until I half-press the record button for autofocus.

anyone having similar issues?

[Edit] I see more are having this issue :-/

I have this issue as well. It was actually present on Build 4 (sent log file to support) and still present on 4.0.6. My RAW view has a very noticeable greenish tint as well.

cheers.

Here's a little timelapse I did last week using the new frame averaging at the camera house I work at, Division Camera.

I thought I set it to do 3 second long exposures but it seems like it made them more frequently than that, the original clip was 20 minutes long and looked more like undercrank than a timelapse. I just sped it up A LOT in the NLE. Also did some simple pan&zoom since I had so many K's to work with.

Very cool - should give your footage for a 5-hour drink commercial :tongue_smilie:

Ha, nice. Next time I'll definitely make it use longer intervals so that I can get a much greater span of time, it would be nice to see all of the preps clear out by the end of the clip. As it is I ran out of memory after only 2 hours. I think I sped it up like %3,000.

Adam, what is the name of the audio track that you used?

Adam, thanks for the link of stock audio

4.0.6 breaks SDI external record flags, at least when recording with the lastest firmware on the Blackmagic Hyperdeck Shuttle.

-Harry

+1 - But a Samurai for me no trigger flags, i tried rolling back two builds to check
it triggers just fine, as soon as i load 4.0.6 no more trigger, every time.

i do get a clean on the Samurai though, just can't rec.

Does this occur with other devices ?...

Why does it say Varispeed when calibrating? I´m running 25 fps. It does say Varispeed both when doing DEFAULT and CURRENT FPS shading. This probably is normal, right?

(Project timabase is set to 25 and fps set to 25. Doesn not show Varispeed, when finished shading).

The sensor is limited to 24 FPS during the calibration procedure and restored to your working setting after calibration completes.

The current FPS / exposure setting is to allow calibration with longer exposure times.

When I have a monitor upside down (I have a few rig configurations I want to play with where an upside down monitor would be quite nice), the UI is flipped and mirrored, but the video is only flipped? Is there something I am missing?

On the hyperdeck shuttle it will record manually. Since there are not flags it won't go into record automatically.

They haven't added the ability to Flip and Mirror at the same time just yet.

When in playback mode and stopped, the Meta updates shutter speed change but not TC or other parameters.
It is on camera playback stopped and Meta is selected from the menus to show Meta of the stopped frame.

Basically Meta do not reflect all changes that were done during recording.
I presume that all Meta is properly written to every frame but it is not properly displayed.

Are there more AF Lenses added to be supported by the Nikon Mount?
