  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RPPs

For the record, I think $19k is still probably a great deal, but I still think a deeper discount was coming until the other sets turned out to be a disappointment. Oh well, I needed them to be $15ish and they aren't, that's fair. I'll need to wait and see how summer rentals go, maybe I'll join you folks in Sep

The $1000K discount is for any customer that already bought either of the RED 300mm lenses and is now buying a set of RPPs...

Awesome! :yikes:

Brent, how does one place an order for the set of 6 to get the $23k price? I put my deposit down last night on the set of 5. I tried simply adding a 300mm, but the price was, of course, higher.

Shawn, Get the whole set for $19k and I will get the 100mm from you for $3005.
If Shawn won't go for that I might be game.... 85mm and 100mm are pretty close focal lengths and I'd be willing to sell the 100mm in order to effectively buy the set for $16K in order to purchase the 18mm later.

Let me know if you're keen!

Paul

If we own more than one camera with vastly diff serial numbers can we order two sets and get them at the same time? Ex. I have #40 and a couple others in the hundreds. If i order 2 or 3 sets will I get them all at once?

All at once, Emery. :)

We are working on a bundle that includes all six lenses... I will post when it is live.

If i may ask. When can we expect to see a screen grab, picture that shot with these lenses. There should be at least couple of pictures, i thought you guys are going to post it on the announcement. I see none.

And also, 18mm is so crucial, rather than add 300mm in the set. i would put my money on 18mm instead of 300mm as a set. Why not ?

Brent,

Can I order the set of 5 RPPs now and add on the 300mm RPP at the set price later?

Times are tough and it is prudent to stick to cash for as along as possible.

Thank you! Company with best customer service I've ever seen and I've seen hundreds.

Thanks Jim and RED team- absolutely awesome. It seems like only yesterday when ONE of these primes would have been considered a good deal at 19K. It wasn't that long ago when we could get flamed (by "experts") for suggesting that this moment in cine glass history was imminent. It's painful to imagine the Digital Cinema landscape without RED- for most of us it would be a wasteland surrounding a crater.

This is already possible. Jim stated that if you buy the set (5 lenses), then you get any additional lenses at the "set" price. So you can choose the 300 or the 18 or both and you will still receive a discount. If you look at his first post, you'll see he's listed the 18mm at $4,250 - or $3,800 if you've already bought the set. This way you can choose the glass that interests you the most and still receive the discount.
