Oh yeah! Just in time for my 5-camera shoot tomorrow! I was prepared to use 20.1.2 but still a bit nervous in the back of mind just because of the word beta...

Thanks to everyone at Red!

Here's a question - Why does the Red 'eat' the upgrade from the CF card? After the update the UPGRADE folder on the CF is empty.

Only reason I ask is I update a few cameras at a time and have to recopy it to the CF each time.

Super! Thanks! Just upgraded and shot some low light footage. Looks amazing. I cannot believe this is the same camera I bought one year ago.

It would be nice to see a visual example of Blue channel improvements to the new firmware build.

Could someone post a before and after with v17 and 20 please?

Perhaps a close up of noise in the blacks magnified in addition to full frame would be useful.

Thanks

so many great updates lately, even the RED homepage cannot keep up and still list versions from an ancient time... :)

you know its a REALLY popular Build when the red.com/support site crashes under the load of people downloading the released .zip file:

"503 Service Temporarily Unavailable...capacity problems. Please try again later."

its killing us... :)

getting the same:

Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

that is because there are 6000 odd of us trying at the same time to download...
but it is great how fast the team are on these updates... real fast

Very GOOD NEWS!!

Is there an update needed to work on Final Cut Studio 2 or Adobe CS4 products needed?

Thanks Brent for your quick reply!

Traffic is still heavy to the support page - but I was just able to download if you guys want to start trying again...

I´m interested on an answer on that issue too!
