  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDVOLT-V Battery

As a new Scarlet-W owner i'm also waiting for those !
Should we wait for the Cine Gear Expo 2017 in June...?

RED should definitely make more sizes of this. At least another, slightly larger one (increasing in depth only) that sits just inside the limit for what most airlines accept.

A Scarlet W body with this power solution, the DSMC[SUP]2[/SUP] handle and an EVF/monitor combo—and I almost see a camera I could use!!

Too bad there are no cameras around to buy!

I definitely love the sleekness of the form factor, but it'd be great if they were ~60wh~75wh (to get a solid hour out of them) and didn't cost an arm and a leg (if they cost more than 96wh v-mounts, than what's the point? Just so your rig looks cool?)... OH, and i hope they don't die/lose 50% charge capacity after 6 months like regular RVs...

The point is small size and light weight - not about "looking cool". for gimbal work and traveling, form factor can be worth its weight in gold when you're hopping on and off planes all day - especially for documentary work.

There are lots of options for something like that out there now... I just bought a bunch of the Dynacore Minis that I am testing as we speak and they seem to be pretty good.

Ours are an evolution of the little Redvolt... for those times when you want or need the smallest possible streamlined setup. Very specific. Gimbals or Drones or just the superlight handheld.
