  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDVOLT-V Battery

Jarred - any hints on when these batteries will drop?

Tooling is already done... We already have a bunch. But we gotta wait for certification still before we can sell them.

Some new additions to the battery tests with all these cell phones blowing up its likely gonna take till the new year for them to sort out.

The problem is the technology itself! Gen3 Li-Metal please, or Lithium-air :) maybe in 10 years :(

In the last couple of years, there has been real progress in creating batteries that are stable / remain stable when you tempt them into thermal run-away.

Prologium 'ceramic-'lithium line looks like a step in the right direction - at least until other promising options make it out of the lab:

Wow :) I really hope they'll implement this in the near future!

It's the back of this battery that interests me most. A high-placed V mount would really make the form factor finally work.

I can't wait for these. Going to be awesome.

Ok this one is a bit further out because there is a lot of regulations with Lithium but It's worth showing so you guys know it is coming.

Standard V-Lock interface

47WH - Almost 25% more capacity than the original REDVOLT.

Fits the profile perfectly of your DSMC2 Body. Eliminates interference with the DSMC2 Top handle etc.

A lean mean battery for those quick tight shots and for gimbals and where size matters.

Would it be possible in a close future, the same type of battery, with the same shape and same height but with more depth and so more running time?

This should be the only battery going forward, in various increasing depths (towards the rear, relative to camera).

One size should obviously be the maximum allowed when travelling by air.
