When I was feeling better, one time, I was interested in going around the country to all the independent regional cinemas, as they can't afford to go for conventional systems, and are locked out of the mainstream. Something like Redray is a send for them, it gives them something to show that people can't go to main chain theaters in the city to watch. Face it, the main chain over here is unlikely to join Redray odemax etc. as they are tied to the competition. ButbI was not good enough, and had other high priorities, and didn't contact Red directly with the idea. But it is a great idea, you can open up show rooms in ten times more places, and people can border films they want to see as a group. The local RSL's community clubs etc, can make screenings on the weekends in their halls. I spoke to one theater owner that scored an old digital projector about Redray at the historical theater Babinda. Ingham has a very nice little cinema as another example. I would not mind seeing s cinema at Gordonvale, but one old theater diva squash courts and the other a Veterinarian etc. So there is much unexpected potential for Redray projectors, wouldn't you agree Jarred?
I failed to get my $1000- 8k microprojector project off the ground last year (my engineer suddenly found himself lined up to be the head of a billion dollar company unfortunately, that squashed it early, such a waste of his time frankly).
@Jarred.
Still, I do need a 8k home crimson projector with or without Redray, but with fill rec2020 and 200% color profiles, preferably through latest display port or thunderbolt, for my touch table, any chance Jarred?
A lot to people need 8k resolutions for advertising solutions. The projection films give clear, high contrast, and even touch solutions on shop windows, much bigger market than cinemas in projector numbers.
