  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Big butch men straining in up to 300 FPS!

Wow, he made the Epic look just like a DSLR with that grade.

Nothing constructive in that. This is a guy that will take this camera and on behalf of RED will sell it into an awful lot of stills guys who follow his blog. He, along with Laforet and Chase Jarvis have helped stills fashion & beauty guys like me 'demist' the world of motion and be able to move with our clients changing needs. I am waiting inline to purchase a EPIC X and really value the comments & advice made on this site. But not if I am going to post material, that I would love a constructive critic on, and receive negative vibes like that. Surely this forum is about constructively helping each other - not swipes?

You look like the proudest father alive. lol.

Awesome piece though Phillip. The grading does sort of have that Magic Bullet Looks "look" but I thought it worked well with the video.

Agreed, that was a bit harsh Ash.

You are right. I looked at it as a Bloom film and automatically thought DSLR. The comment was made in the spirit of a joke but I can see how it came across as rude so apologies. A good thing though for your style to be recognized.

Nice work Philip, love the crowd shots too.

When I first read the title of your thread it reminded me of spam I get on a regular basis. I lolled. :)

Fine work, Philip. Loved the closing clip.

My red rocket arrives early next week so no more 4 day transcodes!!

Nothing quite like working without some tools that makes you appreciate them when they arrive. I was amazed at the difference the Rocket makes and have no doubt you will be too. There is no going back.

Always fun watching your creations. Good stuff.
