  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

RED ONE M-X Sensor Upgrade Program

Keep in mind that there was a delay shortly after NAB 08 because of a sensor quality issue. there were several weeks in May where delivery was slow or nonexistent. I received my delivery notice and invoice at NAB. Paid immediately but didn't take delivery until the first of June (1761). We should avoid that delay this time around and the conversions should move quickly. Or so I hope

Yeah, I forgot about that. Thanks for the heads up.

I was invoiced April 1, 2008, paid in full shortly thereafter via wire transfer. They tried to ship my camera out on April 22nd but there was some delay in the warehouse and so I didn't actually get FedEx Tracking numbers until May 8th, 2008.

Anyone know approximately where that puts me on the MX list?

MX timing

If we are called up and choose not to do the MX upgrade, could we at a later date decide to do it? Like 3 months or 6 months or a year down the line? Or is it a one time opportunity?

Guys,

If you were invoiced before May of 2008 (we are now up to early May 2008) and have not received the email notification, please email (bfair-at-red-dot-com) or PM me, and I can look into it.

Thanks,
Brian

As of right now, we are planning offering M-X upgrades to RED ONEs after everyone has had notification that they are eligible. We have not set an "end date" for the program.

Man,

after getting the MX email, the cameras are going in for the MX upgrade, and.. it is 18:30 and still getting E-mails from Red reporting on progress and taking care of things, as the cameras are at Paradise FX.

I really have to say this once again.. Brian, Brent and John

CUSTOMER SERVICE @ RED..ROCKS!!!!

Thanks, Ketch! All props to Brian (who manages our upgrade programs - amongst the other hats he wears), Nick and John (who coordinate each and every upgrade on a one-on-one basis), and the techs who do the actual sensor upgrading. We are very proud of not only the M-X sensor performance - but also of this program as a whole.

Brian ( and the upgrade team ) really does deserve alot of credit... as many of you know there was a few rough patches in getting the program manufacturing stabilized, along with that instability came alot of really angry emails and frustrated customers... it takes a very special team to take that frustration as motivation to work harder to solve the problem rather than to hide in a hole.

Brent said it well.. we are very proud.

Hi Jay,

As soon as we can :). We are going as fast as we can, but I cannot predict to far in the future (all depends on how many take us up on the offer).

Thanks,
Brian

Got email for March '08 #954 and a day later got email for May 6th '08 #1029

Nice work guys!

Yeah they are so good that I fill almost bad and guilty as the original e-mail from John was then CCed to Brian and Brent, and my questions and updates were answered by all three of them, he he.

Making me fill guilty about taking their time away from responding to other e-mails.

You guys have such an incredible CREW that some times I really think about offering what ever I could do for Red, just to be part of what I consider no doubt the Best Team, any company can wish to have!!

Not sure how much I could do, but I know it would be an Hell of a Great Experience!!
