  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Sweet about still having playback still through the EVF.. I wonder why Jarreds notes siad it was dropped then?

Pity about the blacks in the EVF not being fixed... Thats not good.

O Well, So long as I have instant playback in my EVF, I'm cool. That would have driven me nuts having to attach it, pull the cable from the EVF to the 5 inch just to watch a playback...

thx a lot for the updates Red team.

wouldn't it be possible to have more cores used, eliminating the real need for a redrocket please... would love to see redcine use all my cores with my new e5 xeons in the next couple of weeks.
 
just some (feature?)request for RCX 11:
is it possible to only write a specific Proxy-type, e.g. P(review) only?
there is a dropdown-arrow in the export-options but it's not active as it seems -> I can only export all Proxy-versions together (F, H, M, P).
in general it works fine - would just be for a cleaner workflow if I only need one type from the Proxy-versions.

Maybe I'm missing on something or did not read properly, but here it goes...

Will there be a camera update for users with the RED One ?
 
Red team, thanks for your amazing cutting edge work, continued support, and revolutionary ethos.

A question, in camera menus, under Look > Colour Gamma it's defaults as RedGamma 3 now. But under Maintenance > System status - it says: colour space = Redlog film?

Menu glitch or am I missing something?

Not sure if this is a bug, or just doesn't quite do what it should. But I installed Build 3 on my Epic-X and tried to run the blackshade calibration which then erred out with "can not do calibration" Confused I finally figured out that between installing the new build and blackshading I had played with the redmote and turned on HDRx. Once I turned off HDRx it calibrated fine. So it would be nice if it either said, turn off HDRx or did it automatically for you.

can you get a little more into detail?
without details it doesn't really help (and maybe scares some people)... tech support is usually following Recon posts I suppose so any details would help. If you think it is a more serious problem you should file a support-ticket to make sure somebody takes a look at it.

That's a bug in the status menu. Thanks for pointing it out.

Black shading isn't possible while in HDRx, we'll make this more clear in the future.
