By the way, am I the only one who noticed that RCX-Pro Beta 11 with the new color science (RC3/RG3) came out on the same day as Adobe's LightRoom 4 with their new color science (2012 engine)? Seems interesting :smiley:

On opening old projects in RCX 11 or even creating new projects, I don't see thumbnails of the shots. It says that there are X number of items but no thumbnails. Meanwhile I can view the footage straight from the browser.

my only disappointment (nothing to do with Red) is how do we edit Red Color 3 in premier if it doesn't support it??
Have to export/transcode every clip out of RCX now?? I'm used to editing directly in premier and using "source settings" to control the RMD right from inside Premier

RED just released the SDK last night. I'm sure Adobe is looking to roll this out as quickly as they can. Remember they're also prepping CS6 for NAB-ish so have patience and I'm sure it will come soon.

I'm on the road for 6 weeks without the power adaptor and would really like to use the 720p HDSI out. Has anyone ever done a firmware update on batteries? I know you should always use AC power, but how about a fully charged 160Wh battery?

I think the battery issue is the same as Apple says when updating OS.
They suggest AC power to make sure there is no power interruption possibilities by a battery dying.

I have updated camera firmware from a Brick and v-mount before with no issues. I wouldn't use a redvolt however.

* EVF not supported in playback... NO, NO, NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I live in my EVF... Will this come back very soon mate. I'd hate to have to swap cables every time I want to playback a shot... I cannot upgrade until this is working again.

Playback on the EVF is at the same level as 2.0.5 and 2.0.8.

I have to say that the version 3 looks great. I just have one request for future updates: maybe I'm doing it wrong, but after updating the firmware on my scarlet and my Redmote, I had to redo all settings, all button mapping both on the camera and the Redmote. That took me a while as I had it all custom programmed. Maybe these things will carry in the future when you do a firmware upgrade?

I'm currently out an LCD cable but upgraded the Scarlet brain last night. I'm now trying to use the camera with a SmallHD DP6 and side handle instead of the touch LCD, but cannot get any picture. Any hints?

I'm thinking if anyone could just go through the menus to turn on HDMI monitoring and keep track of the sequence, perhaps I can emulate it on the Sidehandle.
